st 20:13 great discussion of power of consumer brands using global experiences. reminds me of being graduate student in mid-80s with a fellow student from mainland communist China. he told me that when he was traveling through the USA to get to our school, his first impression was that the golden arches of McDonalds must be another offcial government flag or symbol for the government authority. he was happy to learn that it was their brand.

Geez I should have seen this talk earlier. 2015 was a good year to start buying and MA has since then gone from 90/share in mid 2015 to 220/share in Jan 2019

Interesting talk. I think the speaker is conflating buying quality businesses with value investing, though. I can't recall one mention of buying cheaply. The whole talk is about quality.

A good company is not necessarily a good investment. I recommend Tobias Carlisle's lecture on Deep Value here on google talks for more info on that.
