His acessment is spot on! Philippines is cool for the scenery, islands and cheaper living but I found dating there highly overrated. Most women I came across were fat/chubby, single mothers, tattted up, recessed chins, bad dental hygiene (rotting teeth)....and if they were somewhat cute they definitely weren't checking for me.

I've been several times myself. I haven't encountered negativity like I did in New England. Walking around asking women if they date Black men or cold calling for their numbers isn't the move. Years ago, I played in a pickup game outdoors there. Before I knew it, the court was surrounded by people watching me play. I played in college and never experienced that before. It was like I was Magic or MJ. I love to go island hopping and sightseeing there. I've even picked up some of the languages. As far as dating goes, I get to know people online first for a few months. That includes video calls. When we meet in person, they want me to meet their families, neighbors and friends. I did the same thing in Colombia many years ago. I had a Colombian dude give me the thumbs up on my girlfriend. Sorry for your experience.

Im a dark skin Filipino and I’ve been telling everyone Philippines is one of the racist country on earth. You got it down to the bone bro. I currently live in America now and I’m telling u this, I pull more women here than in the PH. I just keep laughing when people complain about how “racist” America is. If you’re a dark skin Filipino in the PH for you, it’s basically done for you socially.
@andrelawas186 Жыл бұрын
Even if you’re good looking, as long as you’re dark skin, Filipinos will always look as you as someone of a lower social class. Colorism is bad out there. Americans have no idea how good they have it over here.
@andrelawas186 Жыл бұрын
@digitalmikeofficial middle-upper class Filipinos who grew up in the city are the worst. I went to a private school there, and I wasn’t the darkest but the darker Filipinos were the butt of the jokes all the time. I’ve honestly heard everything so when I moved to America its like mehh yall call that racist? I honestly thought Americans were soft and just needed to travel more. Asians are probably the most racist people ever. The lower class Filipinos are more open honestly but they still inherit the same colorism mindset that everyone has, but since they are in the lower class they dont have the same entitlement as the middle-upper class people. Since middle-upper class people tend to not date foreigners since they are wealthy enough to not really need that green card,they tend to exhibit the real attitudes of Filipinos. So my advice to Passport bros is that if you wanna see the real attitude of the country, try pulling a middle-upper class girl, you will get humbled real fast

Guys, please do not be clouded with this one video about the Philippines. Enjoy your "long distance" time with your Filipina right now, and make sure you get to know her more. Go and visit the Philippines. Each person, be it black or white, has different experiences over there. I'm married to a black guy for almost 20 years now (through thick and thin, richer or for poorer, sickness and in health... literally). Before he went to the Philippines for the first time, I made sure that I educated him very well about Filipinos' prejudices, ignorance, and, in short, lack of education about blacks and their culture. When he went there, he was prepared for the stares (up and down, from me to him, from him to me and the grin). But he never had any painful experiences from anyone over there when it comes to racism. My husband is friendly, smiles all the time, and says hello to everyone, and he speaks very clearly in a professional manner (will joke around, too, and laugh at their jokes). If anything, these mannerisms of his kind of changed some people's perspective about blacks (whom they only know as bad thugs on TV, or the basketball player, or the singer). So, I urge you to keep talking to your Filipina, visit, and get to know her better!

Nah they are just seen as a quick ticket out of poverty, and the majority of Filipinos look down on women that has a white husband because of the stereotype like the old creepy white man and a desperate gold digger woman because Philippine is still a conservative country and the only reason white men are considered by some filipina is because of poverty that’s why you will never see a well off filipina with a foreign husband or boyfriend because they always prefer Filipino men above anyone else

I do appreciate and like the raw uncut honesty on some different perspectives being there. I feel there is a big undertone of how people may perceive you there. I've been down there visiting and my trip was incredible. I met a woman there and her family and i definitely did get many stares from the people there as well. I think the best way to really get the full grasp and understanding there is to embrace the culture. You don't necessarily have to abandon your own characteristics but it's good to unwind and just not compare things from different countries while being in another country. To me it can jeopardize the experience on the main purpose on why you you may have visuted in the first place. Another thing is to try and learn a bit of their native language while being there. It definitely takes time to soeak it fluently but it can go a long way to try and show them you can learn some customs there to help make things comfortable for them or for yourself. I just wouldn't have a mindset on comparing things too much just because in most cases, similar issues are handled in alternative or irregular capacities. Racism exists everywhere, doesn't mean you let it diminish your experience to enjoy some things most people can't or choose not to experience.

As a filipino, i felt sorry for the racism that you've experienced here in our country. It’s disheartening, and I can imagine how hurtful it must feel to be judged just because of your skin color. it’s true that not all Filipinas are open to dating Black men, it’s mostly because of different preferences. Many women here have grown up admiring fair skin..it's a cultural thing. Most pinays have brown skin, and for some, there’s a fascination with white men because lighter skin is considered attractive in our culture.But that doesn’t mean everyone feels that way... As a Filipina, i never even imagined myself dating a foreigner. Honestly, the language barrier was a big factor. I’m very opinionated, and I always feared that I wouldn’t be able to express myself fully, worried I might say something wrong or offensive because of a misunderstanding. I thought dating a foreigner wasn’t for me. It just seemed like too much of a struggle...But everything changed when I joined a dating site., most of the men I interacted with were caucasians, and yeah, most of them were nice, but none of them really caught my attention. It wasn’t until a Black American man, who is now my boyfriend, messaged me that I felt something different. I knew then, he was the one.. I’ve never regretted that decision. In fact, it's the best decision i have ever made in my life and I’m so proud to have him in my life. I don’t see his color, or our age difference-what I see is how amazing he is as a person, as a dad and as a man. It’s the first time I’ve fallen in love with someone I haven’t met in person, but my intuition tells me he’s the man I’ve been waiting for. I wouldn’t trade him for any white guy or anyone else, for that matter. I know we will face so many hurdles and criticisms along the way cause not everyone will support us or understand, but who cares. What matters is that we’re happy... and i'm very happy with my man. But I understand where you’re coming from, and I hope you find the right woman who will love u for who you are, regardless of your ethnicity. There are still good Filipinas out there, who don't care about your skin color, just like me, who only care about what’s in your heart. So with your question 'does filipina love black men?' Yes, we do. I'm a living proof to that. There's nothing wrong with your ethnicity or your skin color. You're just in the wrong place, sir. Go to the province and surely you can find one for yourself. Don't lose hope. I’m sure you’ll find her. Good luck, sir!
@ladleofloveofficial Жыл бұрын
Do not generalize your experience to be the same with all black men WHO ARE IN THE PHILIPPINES right now. You have some points, yes, but most of what you're saying is due to lack of education (and vice versa with a lot of Filipinos on how they perceive blacks). It doesn’t matter what color you are, Filipinos will stare at you, and they always have something to say (stereotype) about any race or culture. Please blame it to the media/TV in the western countries (especially in the US) on how they portray black people in some movies (gangsters/thugs, rapist, robbers, addicts). These are what most Filipinos are seeing, and then you expect them to be not scared when they see blacks? On the contrary, my black husband has been to the Philippines many times and never had a problem with racism as what you're claiming. I see why, though, but I will not say it here. Filipinos are one of the nicest people on earth, depending on how you treat them. All I can say is, maybe reverse your style, and then you will realize that these people will be the sweetest to any color. And one more tip on being (living or traveling) in the Philippines, DO NOT BE TOO SENSITIVE. Everything is not about you or your color.

So you are saying Philippians can't think, they just accept what the media puts out. Man before the internet they were prejudiced. Its a known fact. These people were colonized and they were institutionalized that white it king. They look the same upon our Africa brothers, I wonder what will be their response upon the rising of Africa as a full player in the worlds market. And it's going to happen.

Good content family in your speaking the truth those light-skinned Filipinos know they know their history they know they come from black Filipino tribes so there's some that know about their black ancestors and love their color but many of them don't and it is it's because they were colonized by the white Spanish bro they were all black originally they even look down on their ancestors the black tribes there with the kinky afro hair and dark skin they've been colonized mentally and destroyed

Speaking as an African-American man who’s happily married to a lovely, educated Filipina; Unfortunately racism and colorism exist everywhere in this planet. I’ve visited and lived in the Philippines many times (I’m early 40’s) We as westerners cannot expect, despite the YT vloggers painting this picture of the Philippines as this tropical oasis without issue where women welcome you topless as you exit the airport. 😂 Filipinas are first conservative (very much so) Go to the provinces and see women swimming with shorts and shirts, definitely no bikinis. Second they’re unlike their western counterparts, very feminine but that then means they expect men to be very masculine (They do enjoy and willingly submit) Third yes some have been “poisoned” by western culture but for the most part they’re mostly pretty decent. Finally, unlike westerners Filipino/Filipina (many Asians) do suffer from “crab culture/mentality. Whereas we westerners prize our individuality. Take for example: It’s rare, especially in the provinces to see a woman with colored hair Where here in the West it’s rare to see women with their natural hair color. Enjoy the Philippines and SE Asia but don’t expect that the Pinoy people who have their own culture, customs and oddities to conform to the way we think they should be. It sounds as though it’s this gentleman’s first trip there. Hopefully he’ll keep on coming back and really enjoy the foods, fun and find a lovely, feminine woman.
