Trudeau has two degrees, one in education and the other a BA in literature. From 2002 to 2004, he studied engineering at the École Polytechnique de Montréal, affiliated with Université de Montréal. You Conservatives are such big liars you put Trump to shame. The childish, nonsensical and untrue portrayal of Justin Trudeau as a mere "drama" teacher is just another Conservative lie and garbage can of disinformation, no one should ever trust a Conservative to tell the truth!

I understand why Chrystia feels responsible for the massive deficit but it was Trudeau's fault. He needs to resign. Canada is in deep trouble, and unless we beg Trump for forgiveness, and admit our stupidty, then he's going to take a chunk out of us.

If you're going to try and hold this government accountable you'll have to imprison every single PM in history. Not a single NDP or PC pm has run a surplus even after inheriting them. Conservatives have invented almost every tax that has an impact on your life today. Conservative/NDP will just make your life worse. Prove me wrong.

We shouldn't get all excited about Freeland's new found ethics. You have to remember that up until Friday (when Trudeau pulled her portfolio) she was all for the temporary GST tax removal and did the rounds promoting it. Out of bitterness she resigned and now called the GST a political move she didn't want to do. If she really cared about Canadians she would have rejected this Temporary GST months ago when it was first developed. It was Trudeau's firing her that made her seek revenge against Trudeau. She's still responsible for all her bad financial moves.

Being stupid is not illegal. Trudeau shouldn't have brought in so much immigration, but we are still suffering from COVID. Let's hear all those great ideas about what Trudeau should have done instead, because I don't think it is so easy. Let's learn from what happened. Canada did a great job reducing the COVID infection, and was quite generous in helping the people financially. I imagine that the extreme right would want less taxation to stimulate the economy, but trickle down economics never worked, and the disparity of wealth is still growing. I think we should have put tariffs up when COVID hit because trade was stopped anyway, and even shipping was shut down. I think the biggest problem in Canada is that Amazon has killed our businesses. Look how much money we gave the American company Amazon, so why is Trump so down on us?

It's so bizzare that the right-wing have so much blood lust for Trudeau. All the comments like this one are so black and white with no compromise. The right-wing become gang stalkers when their own failed egos are threatened. As they say, the veneer of society is very thin like an onion that has many layers.

A DAY IN THE HISTORY OF CANADA: In 1989 the North American free trade act came into effect. From 1972 to 1988 the GDP annual rate of increase was 3.66. From 1989 to 2005 the GDP and or rate increase was 2.63. From 1972 to 1988 personal income increased 11.7%. From 1989 to 2005 personal income increased to 4.16%. Every single important economic indicator reveals a drop because of NAFTA. In the first three years of free trade 1.4 million jobs disappeared. By May 1992 over 28% of the Ontario's manufacturing sector disappeared - -- in just over three years. According to investment Canada from 1985 to 2008 11,043 Canadian owned companies were acquired by foreign owners. Since 2002 more than a dozen of Canada's large corporations have been taken over with total assets of more than $50 billion. The response has been-well there really hasn't been a response. The NAFTA agreement allows US companies to sue the Canadian government if its policies interfere with business. Therefore, things like public auto insurance or a national pharma care policy will not happen. The Chapter 11 NAFTA policy stops almost all national social policies. · 46% of Canadians think that the US has benefited the most from NAFTA. Only 7% of Canadians think that Canada benefited the most from NAFTA. It is doubtful that any of the issues raised in this document will be debated in the 2008 federal election campaign! Resign, it is the best service he can do for Canada. His decisions have proven it is harder for the the Canadians in general to get ahead. Let the Liberal party chose a new leader, not a silver spoon child this time around. Christi Freeland's choice to resign was the right decision. She was always in conflict with Justin's policies but she knew she had pledged her support and that meant something to her. She learned how ugly politics is and has taken a big step and returned to her true self.

I would wager that in no other democratic country, Earthwide, does the Prime Minister have as much power as this Canadian & previous ones down the line. Like from what I gleaned from my CDN Poli Sci study, any minister has to resign if they disagree with any legislation going thru parliament. Then Orders in Councils don't have to be published in Hansard, where they're made available to news outlets for 3 years, when they're no longer news, past their stale-date.

The last recession, for which the financial institutions were largely responsible, received their profits through come almost entirely from a public subsidy; an implicit public subsidy. It's called too big to fail - and formally - which is an implicit government guarantee that we're not going to let you fail. Credit rating agencies know this very well. The corporations get higher credit ratings and they get access to cheap money they get incentives to carry out risky transactions which can be quite profitable because they're going to be bailed out if they collapse. All of this amounts to a huge subsidy; the business press estimated it over 80 billion dollars a year. There are various debates among economists as to what it is but it's huge. (Noam Chomsky on Friedman)
