I miss seeing all those old trucks out working, massive cb antennas, mechanical diesels. I remember when mack ultraliners were a common sight now hardly see them, still quite a few r models getting around, long live the old iron

Just driven that road today, those trucks and companies bring back many memory’s. My Dad passed away earlier this year and was a truckie from mid 70’s to 2005 when he retired.

Had his own truck, was with Klissers which became Vogel’s then he sold and was in freight Falcon Forwarders then Daily Freight, then Jarret Sands that became Roadstar

500 V8s were certainly the glory days for Mack. The 525 was still good, then after Renault and Volvo takeovers , it's been all downhill from there.
