Yes... Original "GT106" canisters have been discontinued for about 20 years. Replacing the old valve with a Lindal/En417/screw valve is clearly the way to go. What's the point in keeping the original bell&legs ? They were useful when using an original canister. They serve no purpose on a screw canister. They only add unnecessary weight, and leaks concerns.

The purpose of keeping original legs is, the feeling when using is like original campingaz stove. the modification is good enough to prevent leakage.
