Minding their own business, going to work, cursing whoever fucks up their train schedules, doesn't matter who or why. They don't care if the train is late because a person throw itself onto the train to commit suicide, he's just a loser making them late for work. In NYC a suicide bomber blowing himself in the trains is just a fucking loser making drama and fucking up the train schedules, not joking, terrorism for them is just stupid people making citizens late. People in NYC have a very: I don't care attitude- and I don't blame them. People in NYC run everywhere, they don't look up. People in any major city live to work, the money they make most goes to pay inflated rent and general expenses, and the ones that do make money spend it with the endless distractions available in the city. Go to NYC to spend a vacation, eat at the cheap places around because that's where most people eat, that's it.

With or without my family, I will go to the New York myself, when it comes to the gritty atmosphere, the Misunderstood Beauty, and the badass attitude of the city itself, makes me feel like I'm not alone. When it comes to the sarcasm and the stubborn attitude I have it'll help me survive this Urban environment. Even though I'm born in Florida, I'm made for New York. Im 66 and one thing that never gets old is the awe inspiring sight of Manhattan as you step up out of Penn station! The smells, skyscrapers, the gridlock, the hundreds of taxis, the shoulder to shoulder crowds and the utter normalcy of it all!! It’s the big apple!! No other place like it on earth
@MikeAustin20126 жыл бұрын
I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived here all of my life, 66 years. I have been to NYC 2 times for several days each and LOVED every minute, even when they towed my car while staying at the Hyatt (52nd street?). Turns out it was not Hyatt parking, my fault. My brother was a block from the WTC on 9/11. Someone pounding on the window was screaming to get out and run so he did. He ran to Battery park and hid behind a tree to avoid the giant dust cloud from the 1st building rushing across the bottom of the island. Even after all of that, I still yearn to go back. Your video shows so many familiar places and so much more that we missed. It is to much to see in less than a week (Maybe a month?). Winter was HELL but still awesome. Spring and fall are picture perfect. Some friends told me once, "You don't want to go there. The people are so rude." Let me tell you, that is NOT true. Having gone to Florida more than once, we thought they were sooo slow... This is why many people don't like New York City. People do not understand that the fast of living in NYC does not allow you to think about what you want. Waiters will walk away. Figure out what you want, then signal them and they will come back. If you are from a big city, like Chicago? The people will seem normal. I guess we seem like hicks to them. Thank you for a well shot. beautiful video. It is addicting! I have a link on my desktop now! I can't stop watching. Cheers, M Austin, Cincinnati, OH USA

Amazing how time has changed so much. I remember New York as this dirty city that stank and was full of dented automobiles. Seems so much more peaceful and very clean now. I know this is 6 years old but it still reflects current social and environmental changes. I was there a few times back in the late 60's and early 70's. I also visited around 1980. I remember how uninviting it used to be. We all lived in Connecticut back then and I was in the second grade and my sister was in the 4th grade. My mom used to takes us all around Manhattan while my dad was at the office. Then we all met up after he left work and we had dinner in Manhattan and took the train back to the suburbs. It was so much fun for my sister and I. I still feel that New York is so much nicer today then it was back in the 70's. I also remember going up to the top floor of the World Trade Center and the Empire State building. So much to see and do in Manhattan. I just turned 60 and I am thinking about buying a motor home and traveling the USA again after I retire. I have another 5 years to make plans.

Each city has its own identity, personally I like cities in Asia better, such as Bankok, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila as the most populated in the urban area, nearly 30 million people, But Chinatown in Manila is special, the oldest Chinatown outside China. New york is too large, not that densely populated

@Rishi Eastwood LA doesn't have snow. I still like the changing of seasons. I wasn't in LA , but in Miami for Christmas and it didn't feel the same. To me Christmas isn't Christmas without the cold and snow!!! 😁😁😁❄❄❄⛄⛄⛄🎅🎅🎅

Born and raised in NYC, through the 80-s and 90's. WAS the greatest city in the world. What I love most about my hometown is the versatility and its intensity. There's an energy in New York that you feel everyday. If you want beauty and serenity, you can always get that at NYC parks. No US city has more parkland space than "The Concrete Jungle."

@@Ribbosoro , the walking city tours are extremely popular for the moment. Many authors have made the similar videos in different cities of the World, but this one is one of the best. And I've walked with camera in Saint Petersburg also. Greeting from Russia ! :)
