Me using funni water tanjiro combo (full basic attack combo into water wheel straight into waterfall basin into a full basic attack combo into an assist and water wheel, very easy to learn and execute plus it does very good damage, probably one of my favourite combos in the game)

@@R_Dodoso the only reason I don’t do that is if you have them up against the wall you can go for another full basic combo into a water wheel which add more damage than a whirlpool but I’ll use the whirlpool when I don’t have them up against the wall, thanks for the tip :)

@@rellik6580 yeah, but you can't go to a full combo after the water wheel, cause they can block. Only if they fail to react, but that would enter in a kind of reset situation. To max the combo without having to rely on that, whirlpool would finish better I guess

zenitzus biggest weakness is his combo starters, in that i mean he has only 1 which is his light if any of his other moves worked as combo starters he’d be the best character in the game but for now you’re working with a red or yellow timer

This is what I need after an exhausting school day and a renewed game pass ultimate. Trying to make my normal characters Tanjiro and Shinobu but I have no idea how to make Shinobu good so might use Rengoku? I already have a good Tanjiro combo though, which will be my main optimal combo Uptilt AAAA > Dash > AA > tS > S > AA (only 2nd attacks hit) > gS About 4200 damage I think you can also do an ultimate art by going to the ground with waterfall basin instead of water wheel, then attack and dash then ultimate art

Also there is a way to put the guard break into your combo by using it right after scorching rush and you can link that into cross attack. That’s my combo. Idc if it doesn’t do the most damage I could be doing I just love that attack lol. Wouldn’t feel right without having it in a combo

Yeah i love the guard break ability its so nice to use but reaaally easy to counter if you know how...yesterday i beat someone twice and he wrote me that i am a spammer cause the guard break always got him...is it my fault that he just cant adapt to it xD? Like its part of his moveset like giyus annoying counter...but i wouldnt call him a spammer just because i fall for the counter all the time Oh and btw if you guard break and instantly use your ult it hits with like no damage reduction

When his video came out a while ago I knew that I’d have to have the ability in a combo just because it’s really cool

I was doing some testing and found out that if you time a assist right you can combo Rengoku's rising slashes into his ult if you hit with the assist first the easiest assists to do this with in my opinion was hinokami Tanjiro and Zenitsu Edit1: this also works with Shinobu's poison skill into ult

Yeah this online scene is looking ridiculously fun. Probably the most fun I’ve had with an arena fighter in quite some time, surprised myself at how well I could play amongst those online (for some reason I get anxiety playing online competitive games). So far my mains are: 1. Shinobu 2. Inosuke 3. Rengoku/Hinokami Tanjiro Haven’t really played as much with everyone else but yeah, so far so good! And playing on PS5 the lag is definitely bearable.

Personally I don't think resets in this game Is crazy. It isn't like other fighting games where you reset and have to guess if they gonna an air grab or a ADC heavy kick (j.HP) or even a low. From what I can understand just hold block and if they reset 9/10 you'll block their reset. Pushblock them and just punish them. Or just Pushblock and grab Ps: kinda wanna you and grab people and reset yo continue a combo but then again this is is arcade fighter nothing no serious

5:45 I know this video is old and nobody cares anymore but this is just wrong. The amount of damage each attack deals in Demon Slayer is only influenced by the number of hits in the combo, and nothing else. The reason the combo using all 3 skills does more damage is because Tanjiro’s whirlpool actually has a damage minimum of 50% of its base damage while Waterfall gets to a minimum of 20% Although, this video is old, and you probably already have found this out. This video just messed me up for the longest time by having me always do combos with all 3 skills when I could’ve done a combo that was potentially more optimal.

That was a FANTASTIC VIdeo =D THanks, I learned a lot from it =) About Character Breakdowns: I would either say go in the route of how they unlocked are sorted the games select screen (So Tanjiro, Nezuko, Urokodaki, Makomo, Sabito, Zen'itsu, Inosuke, Murata, Giyu, Shinobu, Rengoku, Hinokami Tnajiro) or start with Zen'itsu, I just love playing with him xD

I know people have spoken about how they aren't a fan of the character roster, but I genuinely think the gameplay of this game looks like an earnest improvement over the Storm series. It feels like with how freeform the combo system is and with how there's no mechanic like Substitution or Just Guard (the assist is the closest to a Substitution like mechanic, and even then it has a high cost) CC2 are trying to address complaints regarding their games and other arena fighters having a lack of depth. Of course it's still not as deep as traditional fighting games or even something like Pokken, but I think the effort on display here is admirable. The only thing that sticks out as needing an improvement is that I think the ground game looks kinda one dimensional. Only thing it looks like the defender can do during HKD is call an assist and the attacker doesn't really seem to have much options themselves.

If waterfall extends combos anyway doesn't that mean doing water wheel into waterfall doesnt make water wheel an extention? your just doing it into water fall which is the extention. U prob dont care but if u main shinobu (like me) a good combo I like to use is: up combo, then boost up with them, do attack until they go down, don’t move and use normal triangle if on ps4

I can deal halve damage without any surge or boost or ultimate and no dash hit dash its hit square then triangle skill up triangle normal triangle again then r1 triangle hope it helps

I say start simple and break down Tanjiro. He’s the character players will first use when booting up the game (literally), and he’s also just a great character for teaching fundamentals.
