Why would you use a lower caliber for EDC? Wouldn't it make sense to have the more powerful caliber on you when out in public? You must have a higher chance of threat at home than out in public lol...(wife)

i carry them both... imo my 45 is more for public concealed since 9mm is more likely to over penetrate i use it more for home defense but I still carry it...ill take both either way.

What round you use depends on what you can fire effectively and maybe I would say just preference. Their are pros and cons to both. 9mm is quite sufficient to do the job and their are multiple reasons I choose 9 over 45. In a defense situation, each one is different. One suspect verses one victim only 2-3 shots are average. That included 9mm. No doubt I can make many arguments 10mm is far superior to both but not everyone can handle that and their are reasons you would not choose 10mm also. My home defense is a Mossberg 590 with LE rounds 00 buck shot. No doubt far better than any hand gun cartridge in every way. Not everyone can handle a shot gun so they need a different strategy and tool. I’d much rather had heard more about the guns and not the rounds.

I have the FN 45...I carry it in the winter...b4 I was able to afford an fn 45...i used to carry a Hi-point JHP 45 aka The Drilla...It can be done...

I do agree 45 acp is bigger but to say 1 shot vs all of them. Also I do agree no one is out running a 45. I dont see the logic that 1 shot of 45 acp has more stopping power than 20 shots of 9mm. Especially if they are 300 - 500 ft lbs of muzzle energy.

My only problem with that scenario is how fast can you get to the weapon and draw it. I have a backpack gun. I always say my handgun is to get me to the backpack. I carry an AR in the backpack. You do whatever fits best for your situation. It is always best to have the best time-saving option first. Tha KS for watching

Wait 38 special only does 200 - 350 ft lbs and 9mm does 300 - 500 ft lbs. But would still use 38. Also why not hollow points than full metal jackets

Watch out people will say 9mm can hold 30 rounds max in a box mag while 45 will only 18 max in a box mag. 😂😂😂😂 #Ilovetacticalweapons.

You can have as many rounds as you want if you go aftermarket and do not mind the magazine extending way down. I have a 50 rd 45acp drum for a 1911 . Just an FYI. Thanks for watching

Sir with all due respect there is no guarantee that any handgun round will knock you over or stop someone with one shot, with modern bullets there is very little difference in effect for 9mm or 45 ACP and I carry EDC full size hanggun for 40 years

Sir as you mentioned there has been anvance in modern Ammunition because of the short comings of 9mm. There has also been advancements in 45acp ammo that puts it put of the capability of any 9mm load which still makes a 45acp a superior choice. I have a video comparing exact "modern sellf defence " ammo in both and as usual the 45 shines. You are correct that 9mm has improved but itnis only to make it equal to the 100 plus year design of the common 230 grain 45 ball ammo. Thank you for your comment and for watching
