Range mag only for me. Its great for that use. For EDC I wouldn't do it, they have given me a few issues when shooting, not much. But 1 can be deadly in a life or death situation.

Good review and I have the exact setup on my G43. One thing I can mention, most all after market + base plates fail to load their reported round counts, be cautious is all I can say. I settled for the ETS in 7 and 9 round (with XGRIP) counts. On my OEM mags I run the Pierce +1 for 7+1 count. Even with these, I had to trim the OEM Follower to get to a smooth 7-round load. Most of these ETS mags I had to take some dearth off their follower for as loading the full capacity they would jam a closed slide. So bad you can’t pull the slide. So, I trimmed each follower and no problems. I added the Glock finger extension to the 7-rounders. One big issue with ETS is that their springs are weak so long term loading can effect their strength. Personally, I want 7+1 (8rd) counts. I run my G42 and love it as well as the G43. If ever a round count is in question, I’ll run my G19/4 or my G23/5.

I have started using Maguts and have been very happy with them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipCpoHR5jdt1fJI

@@BrowncoatNerd I tried them, once. I put it together and could only load seven rounds. When I went to remove the baseplate the plate fell apart. Besides, after working with it I didn’t like the connection of the two springs as to me was defeating the space within the mag an too much jointing. I’m happy with 7+1 and that reliability. I did not have this problem with my G42 although those springs are a little weak as well. Good luck with the Maguts. I did not care for the 43x (G19 grip length), as you mentioned, conceal ability, as with the G42, is what I wanted and add as you want.

I used to have the 12 rounders for this gun and only could ever get 11 in them. They were reliable, but I never liked the how the feed lips were unprotected. With the Glock mags you have that aluminum lining. Just felt like they would get banged up over time and lose their form.

Nice review, the 7 rounders are what I’m looking into.

Spoiler alert… they’re not just bad, they’re awful. carried a 12 as a backup for quite some time, just walking around town it would spit out 2-3 rounds in my pocket.

I was surprised they did as good as they did. But yeah, I’d never use one in my carry.

Seating the Glock mag with the Taran TAC +1 base is also hard like that ETS.

I’m really happy with the Mag Guts. Easy to seat. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipCpoHR5jdt1fJIsi=DcYv3zMlEesq3vzp

@@BrowncoatNerd I have considered experimenting with a combination of base extension and MagGuts.

So far I have three magazines. One with the TT +1, one with the Warne +2 and one with the Hyve +2 (all are aluminum). None have given me any feeding/reliability issues. Some have said going past +2 is where the issues begin with the single stack Glock mags. Might be a worthy experiment I will try.

My experience with the ETS Glock 48 43X mags were terrible, they are total garbage.

These ETS mags are not right. Extremely tight and barely loads in gun just like video shows.. After shooting all rounds the slide fails to lock back. Does not do any of this with the original glock mags. I wish glock would just make a larger mag for the 43 than all these aftermarket ones that dont work.

I have ditched the ETS in favor of the Mag Guts. So far they seem very reliable. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipCpoHR5jdt1fJIsi=DcYv3zMlEesq3vzp
