3625rds through mine, three ammo malfunctions, zero gun malfunctions, runs great. I think the biggest problem for this gun is "negative reviews get views"... I bought mine end of January, didn't watch any reviews before I bought it. Ran 1250rds thru it first range outing. Had to stop shooting that day, because I had nothing to clean it with... It was key holing rounds in the target. It's been a good gun for me... It runs everything the big KZbin Channels have said it doesn't. So far, so good, I'm happy with mine, it's fun to shoot. Happy shooting!

You convinced me to go ahead and purchase one. I took it to the range and it malfunctioned every round with CCI Mini Mag 40gr RN. I was very worried that I had gotten one of the “lemons” that I saw on KZbin. I loaded the magazine carefully and tapped the back of it to seat the rounds properly but it still malfunctioned. HOWEVER, I decided to try a “trick” I heard about where you turn the magazine upside down, pull the assist tabs, and let the rounds fall. This worked perfectly and never had a malfunction again in 500 + rounds. I know you shouldn’t have to do this but it takes a second and it works. My brother-in-law has one and he has had 0 malfunctions, but he didn’t have to do the “trick.” So, not sure why some require the “trick” and others don’t, but it’s a small thing for 100% reliability.
@SmithBluedevil84 жыл бұрын
That's a good tip. I'll have to try that.

Paul, I traded mine for a S&W M&P Compact but it was still ultra reliable when I traded it and just a few months ago, I used my brother in law’s again and it was 100% reliable. I would recommend it, but be prepared to perhaps tinker with it. You may not have to because as I stated in my original post, my brother-in-law’s functioned fine without any special attention.

Over 5k through mine. Got it early on during the release and had to figure out my own loading techniques to make sure the nose of the 1st bullet was pointing above the feed ramp on the mag so the 1st box of 100 was terrible for stove pipes during loading. After I figured out the technique and cleaned out the glock copper lube and put geissele 0000 in it its been running great. Its became my favorite pistol to play with. I typically stick with 40gr and higher velocity stuff. before quarentine I was able to get remington thunderbolt really easily and that ran great and thats my favorite round on it.

I picked up mine a couple weeks ago. I immediately ran 4 mags each of Win Super X, Win M22 45 grain subsonic. Aguila 38 gran hp and Blazer 40 grain with zero malfunctions. 160 rounds. I picked up 4 Promag 18 round mags and loaded them with 15 rounds. I ran 4 mags each of the same ammo in the ProMags with zero malfunctions. 240 rounds. My wife was shooting the G44 with a ProMag when she had a malfunction with a Win Super X. Failure to eject and I believe it was a weak round as the slide did not come all the way back. Mag functioned OK after reloading with Blazer. Shooting a different pistol I had 3 fail to fire with the Super X. 2 fired in a rifle and 1 was a dud. I was worried about the ProMags but only loading 15 might be the answer. I had not planned on loading 18 when I bought them. She fired 160 rounds with 1 malfunction. I have heard of them malfunctioning with 36 grain ammo. Probably bulk pack but they malfunction in any semi auto. I had some bulk I had to shoot in a single shot or revolver as it would not even feed in a bolt action.
@n8sguntalk3 жыл бұрын
I've had good luck with all kinds of ammo as I mostly shoot bulk pack. My pro mag continues to run great. I also normally only load 15 but some times I do load 18+1 and it hasn't given me a problem. Put 800 rounds of CCI Mini-Mags both 36 and 40 grain through my G44 right out of the box. Zero failures. 200 rounds suppressed, zero failures. I upgraded the trigger to an Overwatch, added Ghost Edge connector, Vickers extended mag and slide release to better match my G19 setup. 200 more rounds, zero failures. My G44 worked great to 5600 rounds... then I broke down with the beer bug. I'm feeling better but the range is closed. I have never experienced any non defective ammo failures. I use the cheapest ammo I can find and it eats it right up. In comparison, my SW 22 compact died at less than 4000 rounds. The G44 shows no wear and I'm looking forward to shooting it again when the range opens. I modified mine with a cheap connector to lighten the trigger pull, easy job and it did make the trigger crisper and a little lighter. They are good guns.
@n8sguntalk4 жыл бұрын
That's great to hear (not the beer bug part) my g44 now has over 8k still going strong. My s&w 22 compact has over 25k, had to go back to smith for a new barrel amd hammer spring at 20k. Thanks for watching.
@lucastrask28384 жыл бұрын
@@n8sguntalk Hi, glad you had good luck with the Smith. Mine started having trouble extracting... I inspected it and saw it was 'peening' around the top of the chamber. I had never dry fired the weapon, possibly twenty failure to feed dry fires in 4k rounds. So I took it completely apart and to my surprise the tiny return/safety spring on the firing pin was broken in two. As was the firing pin. Snapped, to pieces. Oddly it would still fire if you angled it upwards... anyway a month or so of playing with Smith I got the parts fixed it and sold it to someone who doesn't shoot as much. He figured he woudn't shoot more than a box a year, and if it broke he would send it back to Smith. Smith warned me that 'sometimes the spring just breaks'. Anyway my wife and I love your videos. Take care.

I used all types of .22 ammo, I like when it miss fires or the brass gets stuck because it gives my kids practice in clearing the gun. That said I simply don’t get that many opportunities like that. The Taurus TX22 is better and cheaper and most of that guns problems can be blamed on the ammo but we shoot the heck outta our G44👍👍👍

Good to hear and I agree, learning how to quickly and efficiently clear malfunctions is a good skill for anyone to have. Did you notice if the CCI ran 100% and it was other manufacturers that caused the problems? I run CCI exclusively and I really want this pistol but I have seen mixed reviews. Also, has anyone heard if Glock plans on producing a threaded version? I know that they have a barrel you can buy separately but I would prefer it came that way. Lastly, I am curious as to whether you are using the slide release or an overhand rack when you did your speed reload?

Glock 44 owners, inspect your firing pin sleeve. Mine has several thousand rounds through it, and it has been trouble free until now. The firing pin is hammering out the slot in the sleeve, and the plastic is curling up. You can see if yours is doing this without removing the slide cover. If you do disassemble it, and have this defect, Glock will blame you for improper disassembly...
