This is how I fixed my polymer 80 reset issue. I tried the other methods first then this. If you’re having reset issues a simple striker spring swap might save you time. It’s worth a shot. Thanks for watching.

Having the exact same issue with a P80 slide on a P80 lower. It’s been driving me nuts trying to figure it! If I swap slides from my Glock 17 (gen3) both firearms work fine. Definitely going to try this.

I would still check the crucifix on your trigger bar for at least 80% coverage from your striker lug. That is a standard check with all my builds. And it is also a safety issue.

Thank you. All good. It’s even gotten smoother since the video went up. I bought a trim taper back plate years ago, then realized how dumb it was. It has been reborn into an armorers plate.

Would it reset with finger off the trigger? I know someone having an issue where it always resets with finger off trigger but 1/3 of the time it won’t reset with the trigger depressed.
@bripro682 жыл бұрын
If by finger off the trigger you mean squeezing the trigger (as in you’re firing a shot) and then quickly pulling your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard I would say the answer is yes it would typically reset under those circumstances. Probably not 100% but most of the time. My problem was the trigger would not follow my finger back forward after a shot was fired to reset the striker. I typically do that rather slowly when I’m just at the range but need it to be reliable at any speed. For me, the striker spring was the fix.

@@bripro68 thanks, I’ll let him know… what I mean is, say in a dry firing situation, if the trigger is depressed it will not reset 100% with the trigger depressed with your finger…. if you rack the slide without a finger on the trigger when it’s in the depressed position it always resets. I’m typing on mobile and not sure if I’m clear. Thanks

@@AK-ky3ou I know what you mean now. Yes if I pulled the trigger, then released it and racked the slide it always reset.

Try this fix. It’s simple and takes about five minutes to install, and that includes opening the package the part came in.
@tommymadux36463 жыл бұрын
To me changing to a stronger spring is not riding the problem it’s just allowing the gun to function while having the tolerances not correct. Something in yours is too tight or stiff and using the stronger spring just over comes that. I would still suggest to figure what’s not correct still.

I’m having the same exact problem with my first 3 builds. I just got back from the range about a hour ago. I’m a little pissed off because I’ve been at it for the past 3 weeks waiting for parts and putting these things together only to find out that 3 out of the 4 don’t work right. The 4th gun is still waiting on a upper parts kit so it’s yet to be seen on what the deal is with it. However all 3 guns had the same issue. If a stronger spring is not the true fix my brother then what is the real issue? I have 2 G19’s with the Lone Wolf Freedom frames doing this right off the bat. The others are P80 full size frames for my G17’s. These are my first pistol builds and I feel like I messed up along the way somehow .. But I’m going through them now and don’t see where I messed up. I’m ordering the 6 pound springs tonight but I’d like to know what the deal is. What should I do to find the issue?? Help the new guy out!! Thanks
@bripro682 жыл бұрын
@@robbloodbath I think, or at least I hope, the 6 pound striker spring is going to be your fix. Made all the difference in mine. Let me know how it works out. I’d say if it gets all three running well it’s a legit fix not just a Band-Aid like that other guy suggested.
