Received mine two weeks ago. its a great fit and wear for when im out jogging or hiking. Both small (3.5") and mid (4") size semi autos fit very well, stay controlled and snug, and are undetectable. Very satisfied with the product so far.

I like this holster and bought both lengths, I have a 40" waist with a belly. The Large (up to 42" is to short and the XL (up to 54"0 is to long. Would be nice to have a inbetweener Size.

Black on black on black. I can't see the setup. I changed my display settings and still. Contrasting colors would have worked alot better. I may still buy one. I tested my son's Constantine belt and I felt something wider would be better.

and a question: when you shoot at palm striking distance why not shoot from your chest, just as your hands come together on the stock of the gun? it looks like you are using a flash sight picture rather than aimed shots, so why wait that extra time? i am asking because you have mastered this personal defense and i only have military training.

Can the trigger not get pulled on the Glock with the belly band though?? I see nothing blocking the trigger from being pulled . I want to use a bell band to Cary while riding motorcycles and am worried that the trigger might get pulled back by accident,

I have a med size and use it with a G19 I honestly cannot pull the trigger through the fabric. I have even tried using both hands and cannot. Maybe with another pistol without the blade trigger safety I could but not with my G19.

I wonder if releasing the retention strap ala your description of prepping a Katana is dodgy for some things you mentioned, like brandishing, or just plain giving away your armed to someone you might not want to give it away to? All it takes is to raise the shirt and show the gun and you could be done for brandishing depending on where you are.

How does this material hold up under repeated washings??

I sew a lot of lingerie and swimwear that uses elastic components. Hand wash if possible. If you must throw it in the washing machine close up the Velcro and place it in a lingerie bag. Do not use fabric softener or use hand wash liquids with lanolin (common in better wool washes) as these agents breakdown the latex inside the elastic. Never place anything with elastic or spandex (Lycra) in a dryer. This also shortens lifespan as it literally dries it out and embrittles it. Hang dry instead.

Alien Gear Holsters sells their holster with the belly band. For me I bought the Belly Band and a Vedder holster. So I can wear Vedder when in work pants and belly band+vedder when in everyday wear (sweatpants).

A retention strap is anathema to a fast draw, and being the first to put a bullet on target is pretty much mandatory. Moreover the lack of trigger confinement is also damning. I'd be interested in a bellyband that had a trigger covering kydex sheath for full retention without a strap.

I have been watching videos of belly bands because i am tired of the regular holsters. I also like the Kydex sheath combination for retention. I also like the angle you can adjust the holster with the velcro attachment.

@@panpiper Could you put a Kydex holster with the retainer in the holster and attached with velcro to the belt? I have seen the holster with a retainer in the bottom. I am a newbie at looking at these but that would seem to work.

The fact that there's no kydex or fitted leather covering the trigger guard means that the only place this belly band belongs is in the garbage. Plenty of modular belly band options that allow you to use kydex holsters without ever unholstering your firearm.

AlohaCowboy I cannot agree more. The fact that something can reach the trigger means that the chance of a ND is high. I am leaning towards the Crossbreed product that has a kydex holster specifically for your pistol.

check out clipped and carry strapt tac. Use real holsters with a belly band platform. All the benefits and safety of a real holster but in a belly band.

You should be able to, I carry mine. I keep the rds above the elastic myself. Very easy and no snag.

Retention strap is an unnecessary extra step. Either slow the draw or cause a fumbling in an actual threat.

First and most important this belly band is uncomfortable against the skin. You have to wear a shirt under it. Secondly because this belly band doesn't cover the trigger I carry my gun without one in the chamber when I use it. I know I know but it's better than not having it a all. I just try and stay vigilant and aware of my surroundings.

I tried this method tonight in Philly. Scared the shit out of me. I use a trigger guard sheath looped down inside the belly band now... Feels much safer in multiple ways.
