This forward Slide Release, while it takes a while to get used to, is a great option! If you have a very aggressive grip and sometimes accidentally push the stock slide stop up you should look into this!

This forward extended release is not meant for large hands. it's purpose is for proper two hand operation using your left thumb to release. Actually works pretty good.😊

My G24 came stock with extended controls and I liked them so much I upgraded my G22 with controls from Glock Store and like them a lot. I did get the spring above the pin even though I knew better. It would shoot one round then lock open after the 2nd round. Of course it happened in front of a Glock hater. I was embarrassed but survived and fixed it in seconds.

I was at their Nashville location about three months ago. I was talking to the guys behind the counter. Actually stated, as a long time 1911 shooter I always kept my thumb on the safety. But with Glocks I was tired of accidentally resting my thumb on the slide release and not having it lock back. I actually told them I wish I could find somebody to cut and re-weld them facing forward. I can't say if they were taking notes or this is a coincidence but here it is. A small part of me is bothered by the fact I let an opportunity slip by.

Makes this all look so easy. Considering a pyramid trigger for my Glock 19 which I sometimes but not always carry. Think I would prefer to try in a gun I dont usually carry first to decide if I want one in a carry gun.

Good video. Just wanted to give a heads up - the Ghost ESR on the Glock 43X will not work with the Shield Arms 15 round mags, if you are using those. It's profile is shaped a little bit differently, and hits the mags in the wrong place, causing it to FTF. This is a known issue - I was having problems, and Shield Arms was the one who asked me if i had one and why they were known not to work right. Just wanted to let y'all know.

I like the extended slide Lock, I never needed one on a Gen 2 Glock 19, but I found it necessary on the G5 Glock 19 MOS. Thank you!

Love the debate about how best and by which method to feed the chamber….. Just get it stuffed in there people. Do what works for you but don’t automatically “poo-poo” another opinion, try it and see if you like/think it will work for ya! That is how we can continue growing gang. After all, the deans and dinosaurs of gun guys are getting fewer and fewer. We’ve come a long way from Keith, Cooper, O’Connor and more!

Another option is the Tango Down Vickers Tactical Slide Stop Lever. It is a larger slide stop in the original position. I have the OEM Glock extended on my 34 and the Vickers on my 19. It's a toss up on which I like better.

Lenny, I have a Glock 19 Gen3 - but the slide gets easily scratched. I noticed that your slides are a darker shade. Can you all put a different coat on the slide where it won’t scratch as easily? or is that even a good idea? Thank you.

They used to have a really nice tenifer finish that was VERY hard to scratch. Unfortunately they no longer do and they scratch easy. Try to find an old gen 3 slide.

I never hand a gun to anyone if it isn't open and the slide locked back. TOO many of them don't know to check the gun to confirm it's empty. By handing them an OPEN gun You know and They know the gun is empty.

You probably know a lot about guns but they do not just go bang by themselves and yes you should check them when someone hands them to you but it's not like you have to have an unloaded weapon when you're driving because if you have a weapon with you in your car you're probably a concealed carry person or you are just heading to the range unless you're doing something illegal and you get pulled over it's best to have your gun on you and loaded even professional shooters and police officers will tell you and any concealed carry classes you take will tell you to leave around in the chamber you do not have enough time the chamber a round sir especially if you're in a gunfight for your life and nowadays and even in the '90s is there were tons of shootouts across the US gang related or just stupid people around the neighborhood so if you're going to have your weapon on you with ammo don't be stupid have one in the chamber and be trained

The G19 is still too big for concealed carry IMO and the grip shape sucks (just a chopped G17 grip). The G26 is the best concealed carry Glock as it will readily fit in most jacket/vest pockets and will accept 15, 17 and 24 round factory mags, though I prefer a 9mm Ruger LCR for urban carry as it makes a much better pocket gun. The Glock I like most is the super reliable P80 as it doesn't have stuff I don't want (accessory rail and MOS cut) and has a finger cutout on the grip that helps me get a good grip on the mag if I get a double-feed stoppage.

A G26 with a G19 mag inserted is, you're gonna lose your mind when you hear this, the same length in the grip as a G19. Hell a G19 long slide is the absolute best carry pistol as it has the manageable grip length and longer barrel. Also if you don't have a flashlight on your gun you need to FIX YOURSELF.

I was taught the slide stop was a slide stop. I was taught to pull back the slide to put a round in the chamber. Using your slide stop as a slide release wears down components in your firearm.

Same here. I ALWAYS pull the slide back to release, after a mag change. The only exception to this is in competition shooting drills, safety courses, etc....or in the event of a firefight, which..of course...let's all pray we never have to experience.

Per his rule "you never have live ammo in the room when working on a gun" He takes the mag out of his EDC and sets it to his right next him. As he's comparing the size of the 2 his mag is in(even though it's camber is empty) it's still has a loaded mag. He also puts his finger on the trigger of his EDC. Just to name a few.

Pretty sure it isn't made to be easier. It's made to keep clear of the people shooting with 2 hands and riding the stop and keeping the slide stop from locking back on the last round.
