Gloomhaven Unboxing - Final Retail Production Copy

I open a sealed retail copy of Gloomhaven sent by the factory for final approval. It should give you a good idea of exactly what you will see when you open your own box.

I was just jumping out here to ask the same thing. I have a feeling that I will need to build a foam core insert that will fill the top half of the box to hold all of the punch board pieces. Just need to make it removable so that when I open the box I can just set it off to the side and I will be good to go.

This is exactly what I'm hoping to see as well. I'm not really sure how to best put everything back in the box once it's punched. Maybe Isaac can do a video on that!

There are several one box storage solutions examples on BGG but I gave up on the idea because even though you can do it, setup takes too long. I went with 2 GMT counter trays for the standees, a Plano for the rest of the tokens and overlays, and an expandable organizer for the map tiles. The Plano and tile organizer don't fit back in but I am fine with it because it makes setup and tear down much easier.

The foamcore insert that I built really helps in setup. I just play directly from the inserts and it really cuts down on setup and teardown time.

This is no way overproduced. There is no chome here, all in the box is gameplay, pure gameplay. Please do not call overproduced to the only complete game (no expansion needed) that you are going to get in a long , long time.

Unlocking the extra characters beyond the first 6 is supposed to be a surprise, so they come in individual boxes to keep their identities a secret.

When you play the game over many (MANY) sessions, having a box for all your characters stuff is if not essential then at least very convenient. Of course if you're using several parties in your campaign you can't store items there, which would be nice.

My favorite trick for games with lots of punch boards is keep all the sheets that you punched the tokens out from and stack them all under the insert. It will elevate everything so the top is flush which keeps the pieces from moving around in transit.

hi there! so i just got my version of the game witch is the 5th printing but the player card is diferent from this one on the video (i think its an old verion), it has the experience and hitpoints on the bottom, but i also noticed that in the video it lacks the extra rotating dials that i assume are for the same pourpose?

I just bought a retail copy and I was very disappointed with the quality of the hero miniatures. The casting seems cheaply done. They should have just been tokens with standees. Also, the monster tokens get all scarred up the first time you put them in the standees. Really great gameplay though. Easy to learn and my people like it better than kingdom death because they don't have to be as aware of what is happening in the game on a global level(i am really into kingdom death solo)
