I think part of the problem might be there was so much hype since The Bottom for a Squiddy solo, and then even more after Bottom 2 plus the wait and buildup between the song dropping before the video. So like no matter what, expectations were going to be HIGH. Like lean sippin squid up on Jolly Ranch Mountain High. Also having the main verse repeat at the end (before he started speaking it, that part was perfectly fine) felt like it wasted some potential for harder disses or lore

He drops every song before the video, though. I generally think it's better to wait to watch with the video because the audio alone isn't quite as hype. I think he may have felt rushed since everyone wanted the Squiddy solo because the MV was a bit more simplistic. We obviously aren't gonna get a Bottom 2 for every song, but it felt like they could have repeated more shots than just the crew all standing together.

The wait between the audio-only and the video was way longer than usual. Like at most was a day, maybe two, before vid drop. This time was near a week+@@GuranPurin

I do agree, the imagery could have been stronger in the MV if he had actually shown some scenes in Rock Bottom. I know this song doesn't really have any lore specifically in it, but I think he could have still shown more scenes of Squidward outside the mansion, in the dark, in the boatmobile, etc. In DND, even when Dankton was standing in one place, there was a lot more camera work that made the scene feel like more was going on. While this one is more carried by being a Lyric MV. Glorb usually only uses the 2D animations in his shorts. So the fact that one was included here was either because he felt he was lacking imagery or because he really wanted people to catch the Moist Critikal shoutout (which would be valid since a lot of people did discover him through Charlie).

ong main problem was that squiddy wasn't shooting at anyone. If you think about it, this is the hardest solo, that doesn't shoot at anyone. A$AP Larry was fire and he is up there, but I feel trendsetter goes just a lil bit harder. But Larry got that Bell tho, so bonus points.
