I get what she’s saying, but it still doesn’t make sense. Here’s why: You met John at the club, and he’s not going to treat you right. You’re not supposed to get friendly, build a relationship, or fall in love with someone you meet at the club. Let’s say John went to the club on Friday night, but Glo didn’t see him there when she was there then, on Saturday morning, Glo went grocery shopping and unexpectedly met John at the store. He’s still the same guy that was at the club on Friday night; the only difference is that she didn’t see him there. So, are you now saying it’s okay to fall in love with John just because she didn’t meet him at the club? Nah, it doesn’t matter where you meet a person; if they’re going to take you seriously, they’ll do that.
