Hi Marco, thank you for highlighting the game, I appreciate that as well as the kind words. Defensive stats for sure are one thing I wish I was able to incorporate, just not enough space on the cards, though down the road I might look at something that goes into the excel helper to assign sacks, picks and fumble recoveries.

The 85 Bears did not lose to the Miami Dolphins early in the season. Chicago was 12-0 when they were upset by Fins.

I’ll compare it to other football games and say it strikes a great balance between accuracy, fun, and length to play. It’s going to lack in detail compared to APBA Football or Second Season football, but it’s more accurate than Second Season Express, however it takes almost twice as long to play. Like I said, it’s a balance. I think it’s a great game.

Game seems pretty fun. Only thing I don’t like is that when someone intercepts the ball it doesn’t tell you who the player is that intercepted it.

The game is a blast to play but you’re right. The one major drawback is defensive stats aren’t accounted for at all. You’ll have to use your imagination on who makes defensive plays.

I don't like it when football games are limited to a certain amount of drives or possessions, because if the game isn't close ish in the fourth quarter you know there's no chance for the losing team to comeback and it feels pointless to play that quarter out. I much prefer the timing methods of Second Season and APBA, even if they take longer to play out.

There is an option in to use an alternative timing method in Glory Days Football instead of using drives. In my experience with tabletop football games, there are 3 ways to time a game: 1) With a game clock 2) Use total number of plays 3) With drives per game. All of them have their limitations but I would see nothing stopping a person from using any of the three timing methods with this game.

Similar also to APBA with the line control feature,It just doesn’t have as many individual yardage gained per play results as APBA does.

I think it differentiates itself enough and gives players a more streamlined game if they don’t want to sit for a 3-hour experience. It’s not as detailed for sure. Also my big gripe with Strat is every result is 50/50 based and the football game is meant more for multiplayer than solitaire

They were absolutely one of the greatest single season teams in NFL history. There’s no debating that. They could have and should have won more titles to be a dynasty but alas didn’t.
