The translation of the interview at the end is quite bade really so here it is : - What is it to defend your title here in France ? Honestly, that is just purely amazing. Thank you all for the support you brought me during the fight ! you were bloody good ! -I know you wanted a dominant performance 'cause you didn't want a third fight, how close was this fight to you ? In fact, the thing is that Tiffany's got the same fighting style as me so er... It's the same styles confronting and it's hard to work what one has in mind. She moves, she strikes, she works very well so it is complicated, and i knew it would be complicated if it was gonna end. - Now that you've won the title, what are you gonna do next ? Defend the belts again of course. And I wanted to add, that's quite personal in fact, I lost my grand-father recently and I dedicate him this victory, he was a second father to me and was very proud of my career. End of translation :)

I'm late to comment. I found this because I'm finding that Women's boxing/kickboxing/MMA has everything I missed about mens boxing in the 1970s and early 80s (minus the rigging). The battles are awesome & this fight proves it. I never care about how the judges score it, they are paid to call fights a certain way (IMO). I found this fight a very even fight & extremely entertaining.

1st round won by Meksen, close, nice kicking from the french, contender needs to do a bit more significantly to make it a draw. KD is a slip, can't be significant. Good ending for Tiffany, bit short though. Meksen low kicks made the difference here. Tiffany shows her clinch superiority. 2nd could have been a draw but Meksen has more landings and ends the round better. 3rd clearly for Meksen, good landings, Tiffany volume was too low, especially in the last 2 minutes. Beautiful round from Meksen who does great in the pocket with great close shots reading well Tiffany's intentions. Very good reaction from Tiffany, Meksen still good with close hooks then distance control after being overwhelmed. Really good round won by Tiffany with some great moments, but she needed a knockdown. Judges should be ashamed of scoring that for Meksen. 5h round, the match is won on paper, Meksen needs to control it and does it easily. Volume is closer now than at the start of the match. Tiffany was checked too often and needed to be a bit more aggressive if that was as close as people think. Landed strikes are for Meksen. Meksen landed more significant strikes too. Good creativity from Tiffany. Very good overall control by Meksen. Tiffany looked good from the way she evaded loads of 1-2 early in the match but Meksen adjusted and started to find her way in the pocket which surprised Tiffany. Meksen made the difference in the 3rd which show how better she was. She controlled most of the fight and looked only out of control in the 4rth. Nice kicking from both, way better from Meksen with her inside legs shots especially in the 1st. Meksen had better punches too, with some very significant strikes and landings. Great clinch from Tiffany. Great effort from Tiffany but too short against Meksen confidence and control, that made the difference. Judges were rubbish but that doesn't change the fact that the champ was better than the contender. Cheeky taunting at 18: from Meksen, nothing damaging.

what a complete sham, it's so obvious that going into this fight at least 3 of the judges were already biased towards Meksen and that there was no way Tiffany was ever going to win with anything less then a total KO, and even then they probably would have found a way to declare the fight as a draw. I'd be willing to bet that the whole reason this rematch took place took place in France was because if the fight were held someplace else where the rules allowed Tiffany to do what she does best they were afraid she would do to Meksen what she did to Bellakhal or worst....Tiffany unleashed would have Rousey'd Meksen before it ever got to the judges......

I would have scored the fight a DRAW. Then a 3 fight would be inevitable. They fought twice. Each knows the other fighter really well now. I would love to see the adjustment each fighter would make. A 3rd fight would bring out the best in both of them. I still say it was a DRAW. If I had to pick one to win, it would have been Tiffany, since she was the aggressor in every round. I say do it again ladies. You can't leave it like this. Both fighters know it was a DRAW at best. 3rd times a charm.

In my opinion, Meksen seems to have better stability when she throws her punches and kicks. She lands them cleaner, even if the count is pretty even. A few times she comes out of the exchange with more at the end. So even if Tiffany started the exchange, Meksen answers back and overpowers. I would have rather Tiffany were the winner, and I’m an American. But I don’t see any grey area- this is def Meksen’s fight.

great tactical intelligent fight. From the first round we knew who was going to win. I thin Van Soest won and they gave it to Meksen. No disrespect meant for either. but I think tiffany had a more aggresive posture and did knowck her down. The best punch of Meksen did not knowk tiffany down. I would hae edged it to tifffany. And though the judges are that these three seem to be totally partial. Keep the fights coming. Hopefully a third one will come from this.

Just because TVS comes forward, and is more busy doesn’t mean she’s scoring. Meksen was direct, counterpunching with straight shots that got through a lot. TVS loops punches and a lot of spinning BF BS... and kept throwing illegal elbows. It was a nice fight, but Meksen is very businesslike and counters everything. I think she won pretty definitively.

I enjoyed watching this fight, both are phenomenal fighters and strikers, but I feel that the fight should have been held in a neutral country, in order to be fair. A draw would have been a more accurate and fair decision for this title defense fight, had it been held in a neutral location instead of France. Also, the French fighter Meksen appears to be heavier than TVS, giving her another unfair advantage, and therefore she should have been in a different weight class to begin with, or been required to lose 10 pounds for the fight. All in all, with the crowd and the judges not in her favor, fighter TVS did so well, and made America proud!

It came down to who landed the last punches, Tiffany initiated the fights but Anissa answered back and landed the last punch before disenganging each time. Commentator so biased wanting Tiffany to win so bad. it's kickboxing not muay thai, head punches and kicks score more than knees here. It's a fight not a math problem, landing the same amount of shots doesn't mean it's equal.

That first round Tiffany won with the knock down. Biased French judges.

John Three16 which knock down? The front kick? And what about the left hook!

lol that was a knockdown. Good job buddy. The french girl was lighting Tiffany up with her hands. Dont get me wrong, Tiffany is an awesome fighter but I honestly think that north american commentators always have a bias towards north american fighters. I generally watch all close fights with the sound off and that will tell you right away who is landing what and how consistent they are in their offense. Try it and let us know who won the first round or the fight

What knockdown? You must be smoking something. The only round you could give Van Soest was the 4th.

I saw Van Doesn't lose against another tall fighter from Australia. She has a little trouble with long armed tall fighters. The scoring was close enough for a draw instead of a majority slit decision. Fifty to forty five was way off. Honestly I saw Van Soest winning two rounds.

After watching this fight, it became obvious that from the very start, that the judges would not allow Tiffany to win, without a ko....She easily won the first round, and i had her 3 - 1 up over all....A total disgrace for the entire sport.......I also noticed that Anissa suddenly learned to speak English when she complemented Tiffany, AFTER! the result of course.

She was robbed that was a draw if ever there was one. Tiffany, I think actually edged her out with aggression. I know they do not use that matrix in this sport but they should. Tiffany made the fight constantly moving forward. I wish they fight again. Anywhere but France. No fair shake there.

That translator's a joke! When asked about how hard it was to get a definitive win, Meksen replies: "I knew it was gonna be complicated. See, Tiffany and I have a similar style; we're like both sides of the same coin. She darts in, hits accurately and backs out well. Her body movement is great and she feints really well. So I knew this was gonna be complicated."

Tiffany even though you didnt get the decision you fought quite well. Don't ever lose your rhythm. There was one combo in the second round that i wanted to review with you that might help you get your win next time. You threw something like a faint front kick follow by the intentional second kick to i think to the head. Well that might not have been an intentional combo but it might have worked for you. Have you considered combos like that? I've never seen anything like that done, and I'm not a trainer, but i think you can throw off your opponent like that and maybe get some good mileage too. Good luck with whatever you do Tiffany, from the west coast of Oregon, D.E.F.
