This is one of the best examples for fast, accurate, precise KB. Both Petro and Davit were professional, tight, both knew the rules, used real technique. and both men very conditioned... I love this fight when friends ask me why I like striking combat sports over MMA/UFC... There's something about it. There's another fight I feel the same way Petrosyan had... Similar build and technique as Davit, I can't remember who. Petro has been like this since his days in Muay Thai... and he only seems to get better, and harder hitting. Truly a Virtuoso!

Petrosyan won the fight very clearly. Davit Kiria has more punches but the defense of Giorgio petrosyan is number 1. Giorgio hit him more clean than Kiria. Giorgio is King of kickbox.. I love his style

in Thailand elbows are still allowed for classic Muay Thai rules. clinching is also a big part of Muay Thai fights and often decisive. trowing the opponent on the floor is the highest scoring move. but i agree that clinching can make a fight boring. or for sure break the flow. that's why Glory refs usually break up the clinch quite fast, i guess. but i still largely prefer this to ufc or mma... this is first class fighting !! and Giorgio is the best! ;)

The only reason Giorgio is not champion right now is because he broke his hand in the fight against Andy Ristie, Giorgio can not be beaten if he is healthy. Never the less respect to Davit Kiria he is extremely tuff

Also, Ristie was cheating. He was cutting the tabs on his glove that keep the thumb connected to the rest of the glove. That's why he kinda disappeared after the second van Roosmalen in 2015

whoever says that Kiria won has no idea about scoring or fighting in general. Yes he throws more shots but they only connect Giorgios cloves or miss him all together. You can see Giorgio picks points by low kicks and counter attacks. Said that Kiria is a very good fighter though and well matched against Giorgio.

Firstly his was hit by a right overhand punch and is clearly dazed and then with the strong jab. But it wasn't enough for an eight count. And to add both gloves have to touch the canvas or one knee if I'm not mistaken...

Round 1 was close the rest for Petro. With 1 min left in round 2 Petro's glove hit the canvas. Looked at first like he tripped after the kick he threw, but on second look it seemed to me like he was stumbling because of the jab from Davit.

What happened to Petrosyan? He was undefeated had one loss then disappeared? That is not a sign of a true champion. He is an amazing fighter but a true warrior picks him self up after a loss, learns from it and goes forward. They don't just quit! Like what Rocky said: it ain't about how hard you're hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward!

Петросян филигранен и быстр, Давид попадает мощнее и ищет драки.В последующем Петросян проиграет суринамцу Ристи , а Давид нокаутирует Ристи и станет чемпионом Глори, отомстив за доктора. А здесь я бы назначил дополнительное время. Петросян великий боец в числовом варианте по боям и победам. Давид целеустремлённый чемпион.

no one wants clinching in a fighting it takes away from the fight. their only going three rounds, there is no need to get tired unless they have terrible training. head butts are illegal in every sport on the planet for obvious reasons and the same goes for elbows.. my friend if you want dirty fighting you need to look for an illegal underground ring..

the scoring is terrible.. but i think this match was unbalanced from the start Davit Kiria always fights guys that are way larger and stronger than him. some how he is always at a disadvantage in his fights.. in this fight he is fighting some one that is larger than him and just as explosive as he is.. so ofocurse its a weird match up but the scoring was even weirder..
