That kick is a high skill move that was clearly part of his plan since he attempted it several times. He had the heart to continue through massive pain and small chance of success. Whatever you call it, you can't call it luck.
@VidzMisc2 жыл бұрын
He threw it with intention and purpose, no luck involved there. Badr was caught sleeping because at 6:00 he had his guard up and still got surprised by a left high kick so for him to then go on to getting knocked out so it is no surprise but his opponent was a very tough guy to take those shots and badr really didn’t understand that he was a dangerous guy.

Badr is old man nearly 40 years old grandpa, he cant take 1 shoot he is ko, poor boy it's over. Carter ended, too much brain damage. He can't even stand 1 punch, he is taking drugs and smoking he has no stamina anymore, his time is over. Game over he can maybe work as a coach.

This reminds me of Alistair Overeem vs Jarizinho Rozenstruik in the UFC. A crazy hail mary punch by Rozenstruik in round 5/5, at 4:55 out of 5:00min mark, to earn a knockout win. When Alistair was out-pointing and dominating the whole fight. It's not over, until it's over!

Badr Hari is not anymore what he was once. Looking at his face, I see him exosted. He's psychologically tired, and fisically looks more like a body builder (which actually is nowadays) than like a fighter. He makes mistakes that years ago he wasn't making. How many times in his career did we see Badr Hari keeping his hands down...? Only once in his career I remember him being knocked out by a high kick. It happened in his early years of K1, with Peter Graham. He's been broken his jaw. But after that fight, Badr got revenge twice. Actually there were very few fighters that have beaten Badr Hari, without him taking his revenge. But that's history nowadays...

that's just what happens when you don't retire at your peek, we saw this with many fighters at many sports, always the same decline once they hit the peek, because once they do, it's never the same thing to be in the ring. There's a lot more pressure, you're at the spot light, people expect a lot from the champ. All this gets in the mind of the fighter and it messes up their true fighter caracter wich took them to the top. I'm Moroccan and a huge Badr Hari fan and it pains to say this, but if he retired early that would've been great for him and his legacy. But still always enjoying his fights no matter the outcome.

Wrzosek threw that high kick with his back to the ropes at least three times before he KTFO Badr. That was no Roger Staubach Hail Mary, though it did show the kind of toughness and unstoppable heart that Staubach was loved for. Wrzosek knew he had glancingly landed that same kick twice earlier in the fight, he knew Badr was after the finish full throttle, and he knew he couldn't take another good body shot. He backed off to the ropes once more and unloaded that left high kick again as Badr stormed in with no thought of incoming fire. This time it looks like it landed the ankle area right on the temple, busting Hari wide open and sending him into the rabbit hole. Impact like that from a long body with all that leverage, kinda akin to taking a ballpeen hammer upside your head. Then again, Badr has become extremely chinny of late, despite his love affair with Moroccan supplements. Benji found his temple, as well as displaying Hari's notorious skeletal fragility, when he climbed off the canvas to bravely and brutally batter Badr into a bloody beatdown-induced submission.

It's "funny", i remeber watching a kickboxing seminar held by Badr, and during it at one point he was talking about this exact situation and the mistake he made here, he said: "when you're opponent is hurt and you are going to finish him and are slamming him with punches, ALWAYS keep your hands up even in that scenario, because next thing you know the other guy fires one nice punch back and you're the one who gets knocked out".
