Butterbean took that by a mile. Did the refs not notice, DC comebutter bean knocked them down not once, but twice. The giant, it look like he was fighting in slow motion. Once his leg went up for a kick, it would keep going, and it looked like he almost couldn't stop his own leg. The one kick I thought he was going to tug himself to the ground, just from the centrifugal force of kicking. 👊🤕

Opinion of a former boxer: The giant didn't use his height to his advantage & he could've kept Butterbean away with sharp jabs, fast & consistent -- which he doesn't do. Obviously, he never trained for that though he got one good jab in & he should've realized this was the way to go. In the 3rd round -- at 10:38 the Giant lands a good straight on Butterbean's face. At 11:07 another crisp punch. Montana depends too much on his leg sweeps and he has no legs. Though consistent sweeps may take a toll. They're skinny legs & not muscular. Butterbean thought he could bully his way into this guy but he's no Rocky Marciano & the Giant is strong too. deflects punches & shoves Butterbean away. Butterbean has heavy bombs but he has to get in close to deliver them but he's too wild. If the Giant has Butterbean's face on his chest as Butterbean wails away Marciano or Tyson style -- his long arms would've been ineffective. This never happened. This wasn't one of Butterbean's better fights. He missed a lot. Butterbean never took any risk in this fight and never gets in close. The Giant won because he was good at tying up Butterbean's charges by pushing Butterbean's head, shoving him away. The Giant must've landed good shots since it's Butterbean's left eye that was swollen. Look between rounds when they apply pressure on Butterbean's eyes & forehead. In the last round, Butterbean seems to dance a moment -- that's to get the blood circulating in his legs. He's obviously losing footwork from the kicks. They were both cautious but this fight showed clumsiness, ineffective boxing & it was un-impressive. But, it was entertaining. What's with both fighters breathing hard when it's only a 3 round fight? Do they do any training? Conditioning? Do they have any stamina? If this was a 12-rounder it would've been one boring fight.
@Stucifer2 жыл бұрын
The big man wasn't a good boxer. Although his kicks were pretty good, he wasn't hurting Butterbean. Looked like Butterbean moved in after he'd attempt a kick. I think the big man was very much respecting the power of Butterbean. It was a dud of a fight

@@Hanzyscure - Yes, Hanzy Scure. This is where I have an issue with people saying Butterbean is so great. The only fight, I think, he went 12 rounds with a "name" fighter was Larry Holmes. An old man at the time & he was still standing in the 12th. Butterbean couldn't take the old man out. And if I remember correctly, Butterbean was a little sloppy in that fight. I think he was intimidated by Holmes' skills & reputation (whatever was left). Entertainment? Butterbean always delivered. Now we have Bob Sapp. Lord help us.

Butterbean has no fear that's for darn sure ,although I've always thought how great he could have been if he'd just layed off those porkpies, his stamina tended to let him down after the third round, just from being overloaded i guess, running will get those pounds off pretty fast, it works for me,

this fight got more interesting once i found out kicks were involved. a big, tall individual who liked to make use of his longest limbs, but butterbean started to gain some momentum as soon as hr started doing a good job of pressing into this giant after taking a leg kick. it showed the giant man that there could be reprecussions and id like to say that butterbean had a little more sway for most of the fight, but the big guy up he was against mayve started to get more fluent towards the end again.

I give this bout 5of 5 stars. When it comes to tall fighters you see a lot with some kind of major flaw, like they are slow of the body and or mind but this guy is swift, solid, not frail and agile. He had reaction and toughness to take a butter to the chin without any wobble. Im 6'2 220 and i cant claim that a butterbean hook the chin would send me on my ass and turning around from then on. for sure, the bean has a freaking 60inch waste and like 40inch guns. He did win from kicking the butterball in the legs but damn who hasnt to win against him, this guys athletic ability and some real boxing between them would have been gnarly
