I think Sozos is really doing well, and after the recent songs that came out with his voice, like Fly Away, or Keeper of the Celestial Flame of Abernethy, I would say he does sound pretty damn good

Yes, his voice is cleaner and has good energy on stage, but Thomas wasn't bad. For me : Thomas : 3,5/5 and Sozos 4,0/5

Seen both live, prefer Sozos. Thomas sure knew how to entertain people but didnt take enough care of his voice at least in latest shows he had within Gloryhammer.

@@TobiCooper-sx6zz I feel like Thomas was rellying on the fact that his voice is powerful and interesting. The issue was that half the time that he was singing off key and without a backing track it would just sound dreadful. Sozos is a better singer, or at least more consistent imo. I prefer more coarse vocals but I also prefer if the band can deliver live, which now seems to be more of a case than before

Sozos's voice is much more melodic than Thomas, I think. I love him!🤘👌❤

@@adventurer3288 Depends on how one defines better. Thomas has more power and a hell of a lot more range. Also since the parts were written for Thomas, Sozos's much smaller range and intensity make it sound very flat. His voice gets way too easily lost in the music.

You are aware that Thomas Winkler has extremely poor vocal technique and is incapable of singing live without sounding terrible, right? He was pushing Gloryhammer to let him lip sync through live shows (they refused) in the last few years before they fired him. He's also accused by a massive number of women of being a sex pest. As unique as his voice is and as fun as his stage presence is, I'm not sure he's the right person to be pining after.

Angus McFife is a fictional character. While Thomas has nostalgia value and a unique voice, Sozos Michael has the advantage of actually being able to sing live. Given that Thomas was pushing to lip sync in his last few years in Gloryhammer to cover for his poor vocal technique, though, maybe the McSix 'live' shows will mysteriously sound better. :))

@@lintonthepenguin Still doesn't excuse that Gloryhammer now sounds like every generic power metal band ever made. To be honest I never heard about any abuse claims coming from him. Did read some about the rest of the band though. But if we are going down that road should such claims be made out of every single hair metal band ever made? I for one am not here to cast blame on what these people do in their spare time. What I am here for is good music and Mr Sozos as good as he can be just doesn't work for me. Whether Mr Winkler has good technique or not is actually his issue and if he is aware of it then he will propably seek help on improving it. Simply put Gloryhammer needs to do something different if they do not wish to fade into obscurity. Hey mayby I am wrong and Gloryhameer will stay relevant. Who am I to judge for others because music a personal experience for every individual. I just simply iterated that hi doesn't have the voice or charisma to carry on from where Mr Winkler left of. We can agree to disagree there. But as for looking for things to justify blame beyond the music . I could't care less.

That's just extremely reductive, and actually pretty insulting to the rest of the band. Winkler's singing, while undeniably distinctive and unique in the genre, is far from the only thing making Gloryhammer stand out from your usual powermetal band

that's just bias lol because I was on three concerts in the last 13 months and Sozos is amazing. Meanwhile Thomas can't play concerts without using some playback for the sung parts (which is really sad, bc he *did* have a great voice)
