I finally visited my high school (Richard Montgomery) that I graduated from 12 years ago and got to see my three favorite teachers who still teach there! It was so fun going back and I'm so grateful that my husband came along.

This was me with one of my youngest cousins. I knew she was young, didn't know how young though. I finally asked recently and she said she was born in 2008. Meanwhile, I also graduated in 2009 😅

Glory, as an active educator of 29 years, I remember a lot of my students. Yes, some more than others but not because of favortism, more because of frequency of seeing the student and/or their family. I'm an elementary school teacher and when students come to visit as adults it takes me a second to find the "kid" face and then it will all come back to me! Honestly, it's the best feeling in the world! I feel beyond honored and loved that someone took the time to see me and let me know they remember me. I feel love and respect and feel that my purpose of making positive impacts and making others feel loved has been achieved. Thank you former and future students, I love you all.

As a teacher I would be honored to see my students years from now. It's motivational for both the teacher and student to have those types of interactions. My students are in preschool, but WOW that would be a great experience. You just never know who you may leave a positive impact on❤❤❤❤😁💯💯.

I’m 38 and still want desperately to find my kindergarten teacher wherever she is in the world, fly to her and tell her she’s the best. I genuinely miss her with my heart and think she was the best adult figure I ever had in life. She loved what she did, she loved kids, and she was so inspired, inspiring, fun, protective. I distinctly remember her face, her laugh, her voice, her mannerisms, that classroom. I’ve searched and searched and haven’t been able to find her but really even if she was across the world, in a hospital, I would go see her and consider that something I have to do just to tell her I love her before either of us die. You never know what grand impact you can have on your little ones. It really can be life long! That’s a time where the child’s brain is most sensitive and paying attention to everything; especially how things feel. You’re in a special position, never ever think it’s a small role.

aww he seemed like a good teacher! I am a graphic design student now, and am in my senior year in college, and every single art teach I have ever had from 1st grade-12th grade is the reason I became an art student. teachers deserve more!

The literal TEARS I cried when you hugged your teachers and shared how they helped guide you to your educational journey-so special! 🥰 I’ve taught 5th grade for six years, and this reminded me of my “reason why” too💛🤗

So glad to see Main Street and the art gallery haven't changed at all...but wow, I wish we had those tables to sit at instead of slumming it in cliques on the floor back in the day 😂
