Honestly, I think it's actually the other way around. I think what could potentially make more sense? Is that everyone was transported into a non-magical world (one that Glossaryck created, where even his "magic soup" is just normal soup). The magical world still exists, but it's completely cleaved from non-magical life. Glossaryck said it himself: a good captain goes down with his ship. Meaning that everyone else was on lifeboats, while he stayed behind.

The idea wasn’t bad but the execution left a lot to be desired. With the exception of the occasional powerful magical creature, the only people using magic were the butterflies, and so it was really more them being extremely capricious, then anything being wrong with magic in general. They never built up magic being a problem beyond people abusing magic, but the problem is at 99% of the people abusing magic were butterflies, and the butterflies 2.0. And most of those abuses happened off screen and a book that 99% of the fans never even interacted with.

Even him saying "I magic'd my face and it hurts" is literally him acting out just for Stars' sake at that exact time, place, and all, like he even refers to ALL of the Magic High Council as "Children" Ik it's hard to go into detail but after being a Hindu and studying atleast 5 hrs a day about hinduism and dharmic philosophy and understanding of God I can almost without a doubt say that imo cannonically, Glossaryck IS essencially the Supreme Being acting out of his own whim out of his own mercy for those who have ever come into association or knowledge even of him. Overall, Glossaryck will forever be my most favourite character of this Show 😂🔥
