Merveilleux !

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Et Merci!

I lived in Telfs, just a few kilometres away from Innsbruck and I’m loving this. I was lucky enough to visit my old homeland for a few months, twice in 1992 and 1996 and my heart hurts from Heimweh watching this. The worst part is knowing that nearly everyone of my relatives is dead and my favourite remaining aunt is 86. With this madness of locking up the world there is no chance of going back again. I’m loving this and want to thank the poster for it. Sending love from Australia 🇦🇺

Healthy braided shiny, hair brushed away from the faces especially the young girls and the women and girls in traditional, colourful clothes. Clear complexions pleasant, bright smiles neatly shaved men young and old. Lively pleasant music!Everyone including myself just wants to get up and dance! Crisp, neat, white blouses, with dainty, bright, colourful embroidery on the young girls and women. Women young and old with neat haircuts including men young and old with neatly trimmed beards and haircuts. Young women dainty and feminine attractive and ladylike walking gracefully in their skirts and dresses. Very well organized and upbeat! The blend and tone of the male and women voices accented with the instruments fiddle, horns, guitars, accordions. The yodeling was another interesting feature too! The voices of the women blended so well hitting all the high notes in perfect harmony like a lark but so high but natural! It is hard for me to express in words. Maybe you know what I mean and could rephrase my thoughts. I tried to pick out some of the instruments. Maybe you could list them for me. There were so many gentlemen in the performance young and old. At the end the whole ensemble marched on time out of the room. I am sure it takes many hours of practice using the instruments and harmonizing as they sang. I am sure the voices were trained. Some people are blessed with good singing voices. As a family at home we sang often together and were picked at school to perform. It would be great to have a return reply on my comments. Children young and old and adults were relaxed and were all smilies giving their all without distractions. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole performance and plan to listen to more on my IPad. This performance came from Germany? Could you name the place please?

The music is mostly light yet difficult and time consuming to get it to the standard displayed here. As much as my enjoyment for the excellent music it is also the realisation that as so many of these groups are families it stands to reason that they spend a lot of time singing/playing together. in this post nuclear family age when children are so often left to their own devices as the parents/older siblings are out working it is a blessing to behold the opposite here. Thank you one and all...
@mpospisil1013 жыл бұрын
Truth. I am an amateur musician and my favorite genre is American country music, which was also born in the difficult conditions of the 18th - 19th centuries. Alpine music was also created in the difficult conditions of life in the Alps. Admiration belongs to both the followers of Alpine music and American country music, who still practice this culture regardless of their workload and daily care for the family.

It’s sad really. An immigrant to Australia in the fifties we strove to be as Ozzie as we could in order to fit in. We even stopped speaking our language at home. It took me till I was 46 to return to Tirol and my heart has ever since been torn in two ! Three families, one in Germany locked behind the wall, one in Austria and us in Australia. I would never recommend to leave your home country. The heartache is permanent and you are always torn to bits, especially in your old age when the lunatics have shut down the world . Sad and happy to see this lovely musical event.
