Another great light from my favorite light company!

I thought these lights would be the best for my night rides so I got two! For helmet and handlebar. I'm having lots of issues syncing both lights to one remote which is possible according to the manual. In my case I either have one high and second low or one on and other off when I try to control them by remote. Annoying since these lights one of most expensive

Hi Oleg. Definitely possible to have the lights synced to one remote. Have you customised your light levels via the app at all? Send us an email at support@glowormlites.co.nz and we can go through some step by step instructions.

You need to provide an e-mail address to log into the app. That is not shown in this video.

Would you recommend honeycomb, wide, honeycomb or wide, honeycomb, wide to run on the bars with a dual spot on the helmet?
@jasonperez-no5ih Жыл бұрын
Get 3 wide and run all three wide, don't bother with honeycomb. You'll have enough light that you won't even need a helmet light other than in the emergency of the bar light going out. Most riders due to marketing and common internet understanding, don't realize how beneficial it is to have shadows from you bar light be seen by you to give you back your depth perception over rocks and roots. Also most rider don't ride excessively dangerous enduro bike trails at night so they'll never miss that benefit. Running a helmet light drowns out those shadows along with your depth perception. I don't even miss the helmet light in even the lightest of switchbacks but if you fill you must set your helmet to 10-20% power at the most with spot lenses .

How can I activate the “special mode” that I did set up true the app?

Ow found it. Doubleclick when the light is off.

I have the Gloworm Power Pack (G2.0) 5Ah battery. Can this be charged using a Battery Bank? It charges fine with an AC supply plugged into the wall. But nothing seems to happen when using a battery bank. Thanks.
@RustysheriffsbikeАй бұрын
Maybe the powerpack doesn't provide enough amps? Had a similar issue with a rechargeable torch.

I can't fit the remote round my handlebar, is there a diffrent sized oring that can be used?
@gamingsectre1534 Жыл бұрын
It feels this way but just pull hard , the oring is very stretchy

I brought the X2 to replace my magicshine as i liked the idea of the remote that went with the X2 but when ever i wanted to use the remote it wouldn't work, i have since found out that the light and remote unpair after 18hrs which means i have to repair the remote every day because i use my light at the same time every day 5pm-5pm (24hrs) why can't we have the option in the app as to how many hours the remote stays connected before it unpairs and let the user decide if they want to save on battery power. it wouldn't of been so bad if the battery pack remembered the remote it was paired to and reconnected when the power was reconnected to the light.
@ritterkeks Жыл бұрын
also, two button operation mode (which I think should be the default, is the majority of users really operating two lights with one remote?) is not sticking once activated, not even during the 18hrs window! everytime I turn on the light it is back to one button operation on a two-button remote, meaning you have to cycle through the modes and can not use the buttons as they are labelled (turn light up or down with the push of the respective button)

Hey Tony and ritterkeks, thanks for the comments and the feedback around the TX pairing and mode selection. It's always useful hearing different customers perspectives on this, and it will certainly be a consideration during further product development. We do feel the current pairing process and mode selection is so simple and quick that having to repeat it each ride isn't a significant drawback but as above appreciate the feedback otherwise. Happy riding!

@@GlowormProducts I totally agree with the original poster that the pairing process might be easy, but it does really suck to always have to do it again. Real life example: Its winter, its night, my bike (with the remote) is outside in the shed, but I am inside getting dressed. I put the light on the helmet, helmet on the head, store the battery somewhere in my clothing, go to my bike and get ready to ride... Oh wait, I have to unplug the cord from the light on my helmet! ok, done... No I have to plug it back in, blindly as the light is already on the helmet and the helmet is already on the head... damn annoying each time. Now quickly hit the button on the remote! Too late? Too bad!
@Jonas-yg7zw Жыл бұрын
Oh - and I also have to remember if I have to press the up botton and double click the down button to get it to the two button mode or the other way round? Forgot to do it before starting the ride? Good luck doing that while riding! Not been night-riding for a month? What was the combination for getting that dual button thing again? Do I have to double click? Or hold? Dunno, lets ask google.... in the middle of the night... in the cold... while all I want to do is ride without fussing about.

I have the old model with a small square battery,but i cant pair it using the app,also the extra cable which ocmes with it,when i plug it in to the light and the battery pack,the light doesnt turn on,but when i deconnect it and just use the battery straight to the light it works,the reason i need the other cable connect is cause the light cable length is very short,any idea

Unfortunately our app only works with the new generation of products :(

kia ora. sorry if I am dry and honest, but the power cable and charger are really bad. cable is too hard and inflexible, making it difficult to wear, on the charger I had to built up copper spacers to get a decent contact...and even though contact is unpredictable.

Kia ora Omar, thanks for the feedback on the cables. We haven't had many customers mention this so maybe just not to your liking. Keen to hear more about the problem with your charger though as this doesn't sound right. Drop us an email (support@glowormlites.co.nz) and we can investigate further. Nga mihi.
