Glowworms and Galaxies, two natural wonders down here in New Zealand / Aotearoa. For the best viewing experience, watch on a laptop or desktop in 8K 60! (All lapses are available for licensing as stock footage)
I've spent the last two years capturing the milky way during the winter months in between travels, and most recently I've been drawn to time lapsing Glowworms in their natural environment. While I was editing the content, I couldn't help but notice how similar they looked, they both illuminate darkness and sparkle as they move.
I wanted to show the beauty of what's out there when we're often indoors, in our comfort zones. So much magic is on display at night, especially away from light pollution during Winter months when the nights are coldest. But if you take the time to go out there, camp out in isolated places you'll truly experience something magical when you look up.
As for Glowworms. I was lucky enough to have free roam in a stunning cave. It was pure darkness and at times muddy, contained small crevices and small river crossings but again it felt like I was looking at the night sky after my eyes adjusted as I looked up in the stillness of the caves.
This is not a sponsored Ad whatsoever, but I wanted to share the equipment I use for motion control Timelapse which has taken my game to the next level.
