Girl, you can do just about anything with any color, you created such a beautiful and fun look! So fun to watch you! And no, no plans for a warm getaway, but we were in Paris in January - not too shabby 😝 I would trade it for the beach at any time! Was fun to shop there, I know you know that! 😅

THANK U!!! Ugh I’ve watched every video since they’ve been released BUT no one has really stated that the Niji Keyaki is DIFFERENT from the original Niji! I’ve been debating between which to get and the hair difference seemed different enough to me but no one expressed it until you! THANK U for a true legit comparison! 👏

Another amazing Sophia video! Thank you lovely and good tip regarding mixing in the DM with the Saie. I am keen to try anything Tower 28. Sephora in Lyon doesn’t stock it so am waiting for a trip to the US so I can buy it. I have ordered the Dior Coral Illuminator which will arrive soon based off of your dedicated video. Thanks Sophia. Keep inspiring us and I love and trust your honesty. It seems it can be bought easily by a single mascara in the beauty community. Much support to you. ❤️

Yay I am so happy to read your comment 🤗 I have heard the same thing from a lot of people that Tower 28 is hard to get if you are outside the US!

I live in a hot, humid area, and I find the best course is powder foundation. You can moisturize well under it, and if you press it into your skin with a damp face towel when all your foundation, bronzer and blush are applied, it will morph the products together, remove excess, and set your makeup for hours. Just a thought. Thanks for the video. I need to check out those new brushes. 💚

@@SofiaSeesBeauty They look great for light coverage. You can get a medium coverage out of them, but they can look cakey if you do that. My faves are Bare Minerals Original, Laura Geller (not the Luminous), and the Armani powder, which also works as a light foundation. I wore the Armani all during masking and found it the most transfer proof. Available at Sephora, I believe. Tip: put your concealer on first, if you are using a cream. And use powder products over it for best results.

@@DeborahCarlston oooh, good tips! I remember it being tricky to conceal my undereyes whenever I wear bareminerals. I'm interested in trying the Armani powder foundation! Do you have suggestions on good primers to pair with it? (My last go-to was to apply bareminerals primer 1st, Charlotte tilbury corrector undereyes, patting a tiny bit of a lighter concealer on top, setting with CT airbrush powder, then finally applying the bareminerals powder foundation. But it stopped wearing well throughout the day a few months back.)

@@chaosbecomesher I think less is more with these products. I usually use it right on top of my serums and moisturizers with a very light hand, and skip primer altogether. The damp face towel pressed into the whole look at the end will set it for all day. And it will make the whole thing look like your skin. For under my eyes, I use either just some Touche Eclat or the Sisley concealer (use the brush and a very light hand). I concentrate the concealer on the inner part and the first third of my undereye. I never set it because that causes it to settle in lines. That's also why I don't use it in the outside where laugh lines will crease it. Most of the stuff you want to cover is toward your inner eye, including dark circles and redness. I see so many people putting concealer all over their faces and just wonder why. If you must prime, the most effective Primers in my book, and I've tried them all, are made by good old Smashbox. They smooth and provide long wear. They've held up for me through intense gym workouts and hot DC summers. They have a silicone feel, but they practically invented the category. I hope some of this helps. Stay beautiful!

I am so glad! No I don't think that they do, at least not in my experience. I think a good technique is to dab them onto your hand and then get a nice even layer on a brush or sponge if you are worried about that just in case :)

Hi S, I use Danessa M’s vision fix foundation with her oil. It makes it very natural. Wanted to ask did you prewash the Keyaki brushes please? I am not sure if one needs to prewash them. I love both brushes also 😎
@SofiaSeesBeauty
@SofiaSeesBeauty Жыл бұрын
Good question! Yes I always wash them beforehand since they will go on my face and to have the bristles fluff out. I meant to mention that because some others were asking too :)

I LOVE this look. I don’t have the Viseart palette but now I feel like I need it. I love the look of the tower 28 gloss but I actually don’t like the smell. I find it a bit off putting lol. I think I’m the only one though.

They aren’t meant to be used with creams. And Sonia tells people not to use them with creams or liquids. You’ll ruin the brush. Also, the mini Niji and the Niji pro aren’t the same brush. Sonia discussed how they differ on her website. The mini buffer or the old “face one” or the now “buffer” brush are the same brush, but with different handles.
@SofiaSeesBeauty
@SofiaSeesBeauty Жыл бұрын
I mention that in the video :) they are not the same brush primarily because of the bristle type. I know that the Niji isn't designed to be used with creams but a lot of my subbies don't have the budget to buy multiple brush types so I am honest with how I use it on drier creams
@TheElizabethEdit
@TheElizabethEdit Жыл бұрын
@@SofiaSeesBeauty actually no. They are both made of saikoho goat hair. Just different dye colors which does not affect the brush. What makes the mini Niji different is that it fans out more and isn’t as dense as the Niji pro so brush wise it isn’t the same brush. As Japanese handmade brushes go 85 and $75 really are not all that expensive and I’m pretty sure most people could afford that if they wanted to. I mean any middle class person could afford that. Now, for example, if the price was like Hakuhodo S series or their mixed squirrel and goat hair than 250 a brush is kind of pricey. They are worth every penny though. I collect fude. You may have said in the video that they’re not meant for liquids and creams but then you’re still using it as you say it…which is crazy to me.
@SofiaSeesBeauty
@SofiaSeesBeauty Жыл бұрын
@@TheElizabethEdit I wanted to show those who are interested that you can use it on a dry cream but it’s not really designed for that. Not everyone has a huge Fude collection so I want to show first hand what the brush can handle in my opinion. I don’t need to use the Niji with creams because I have tons of brushes for that :) I think $75 is a lot of money for a brush. I appreciate the correction and understand your points and why you may disagree. Thanks for your feedback

Pretty sure Sofia knows what she’s doing 🤷🏼‍♀️ No need to correct her on how she’s using her brushes! She described the brushes perfectly, and DID address the best way to use them (suggested use via Sonia G). I absolutely love her videos, and I have really been enjoying the content she puts out. 😊 People that are throwing in their two cents might have too much time on their hands and perhaps feel soooooo superior when “correcting” someone…….. but, it’s just coming off as snotty 🙄 That’s my two cents! Great video, Sophia!!! 🎉
