The story ain't bad necessarily.. one thing that bothers me, is that this story has alot more telling than showing, compared to the previous 2k stories Compare this with the 2k17 storyline or the one with Frequency, u ll see the difference in character (particularly the side characters) development. The part where they talk about getting death threats, it would be far more impactful to even see the mother's reaction at the very least. I mean, we got to hang out with Isa for a short while, and u probably felt something, having to cut her off. Just some time with Porter would have made the injury scene far more potent. Instead, we are expected to feel bad for the injury and scholarship drop stuf, for a guy we literally JUST met. Suddenly the whole story revolves around him

In nba2k19, I hated my char during the entire beginning and middle part of the story. He was so arrogant and entitled that I couldn't watch, but at the end, I felt comfortable with him because he grew into a great ballplayer. The story was solid. This year, I feel like the story was too easygoing.
