What KH3 should have been in tone and story. There is a greater sense of threat just walking around these ruined worlds than in the entire Keyblade War and final boss sequence. The best way to “fix” KH3 is to give it a World of Darkness scenario. After Xehanort opens KH, let all the worlds fall to darkness. This would have let the Guardians, now that the final 7 are united, go off and fight high-powered heartless in each corrupted world to save it. It would have provided opportunity for much-needed character interactions as well as making the Guardians important to the story without stealing Sora’s ultimate 1-on-1 with Xehanort. Come on, Yasue/Nomura.... It really wasn’t that hard to write a decent final scenario for the cool FFVI-esque “Reunion” storyline this game begins with. I swear you have to work even harder to come up with something as boring and unimaginative as what they did. Here’s hoping ReMIND impresses. Regardless, the journey to KH3 was truly amazing and I’m grateful to have experienced it.

I always hated how Yen Sid passes Riku for MoM but fails Sora because "Xehanort was almost successful in making (him) his vessel". Ok, let's just completely ignore the fact that Sora literally saved all the worlds on multiple occassions, sacrificed himself to save Kairi, travelled from world to world just to find Riku and Kairi etc whilst Riku on the other hand literally was a vessel of Xehanort. He helped Malificent cause trouble, went from world to world spreading heartless, tried to kill Sora - His one true friend who risked and left everything to follow after him AND he almost completely doomed the world by contributing to the kidnap and gathering of the princesses of light. Even after he redeems himself (He created most of the trouble anyway) he still acknowledges that he has darkness still flowing within. I'm sorry but that makes no logical sense whatsoever. It's the reason why Riku sucks ass and will never be more than a niusance IMO. Square Enix messed up on this angle.

And yen sid wasn't prepared for xehanort plan during the exam

Hate when people say this shit because the MoM exam has always been about balancing light and dark and Sora hasnt demonstrated that he can balance darkness in his heart, meanwhile Riku's whole plotline through out the games were about this. It also makes Sora more interesting that his boyfriend is the one who gets the respect from the establishment, and Sora isnt discouraged by that at all, and is happy for his friend. Besides, the establishment (represented by Yen Sid) misinderstands things as well (like nobodies not having real emotions) so it's totally different possible they are wrong about Sora. It's a pet peeve when people bring this up because it never didnt make sense to me. I just started kh3, so please dint spoil it!

A few years late, but Yen Sid only knew about Aqua after Mickey found her at the end of Kingdom Hearts(PS2), and then immediately after KH1 Organization XIII came and was wrecking havoc, there was literally no time to save Aqua; Riku got lost in Castle Oblivion and Mickey had to save him. Then in 358/2 Days Mickey found Riku and Riku asks Mickey to keep Sora, Donald and Goofy safe(Saved by the King in certain boss fights shows us that Mickey had been tailing them since they awakened). Kingdom Hearts III has shown us that trying to go into the Realm of Darkness and battle the Heartless at their strongest is suicide, both Mickey and Riku nearly died twice when trying to save Aqua.

I hope the world for Cinderella 3 will be featured in Kingdom Hearts 4 or another future game. I also hope they include a special mission in which the main character has to look for the 7 dwarfs by the request of Snow White who were scattered throughout the worlds after their world’s heart was taken by the heartless.

If Aqua and Ansem the Wise were on that part of the realm of Darkness by the shore they would have run into Riku and Sora shortly after because that was the ending time KH2 so 1 year in the realm of light was probably a few hours in the realm of darkness because it looks like after Destiny Islands was restored she landed near him.
