I had this theory, it would've been perfect if it turns out at the end of the game, Brainiac has been abducting the villains of Earth and running possible shared mind scenarios on how to conquer Earth. You see the Suicide Squad kill the Justice League, and the simulation ends when the Squad actually succeeds in killing Brainiac. The Villians awake on his ship, and start to remember how they were abducted. The game ends with the actual Justice League coming to Brainiac's ship and releasing the Villians of Earth to give them a chance to rehabilitate, while the League tries to stop Brainiac. It then falls down to the Squad either they run back to Earth, or choose to stay and help stop Brainiac. If they choose to run, it shows the Squad board an escape pod, and head back to Earth, while Brainiac's ship explodes with Brainiac and the League aboard, the Squad then wakes back up and sees they're still captured. If you stay and fight with the League you all successfully stop Brainiac's Invasion, and head back to Earth, with the Squad and the League coming to a truce for now, the League points out the Squad could've ran so there is still hope for them, while the Squad assures them they're still bad. The post credit scene would've been in a villa in Italy, it shows an answering machine and you hear Dick, Barbara, Tim, Jason, Alfred, Clark and Diana, wishing Bruce and Selena congratulations on tying the knot and hoping they enjoy there new life in Italy. While it shows pictures of Bruce and Selena's new life together, Bruce finally gets his happy ending.

I was waiting for this game because I got curious how Suicide Squad can possibly be able to defeat Justice League. I’ve expected this to be more hard, dramatic and epic. I'm inclined to believe that since the multiverse is dragged along in the story, this is another one of those divergent timelines where the Justice League lost so I can enjoy it without thinking about the Arkhamverse being ruined. Hopefully they retcon it and say that it's indeed in an alternate universe with very similar events to that of Arkham. Lots of shit is changed and inconsistent, it's just like.. why? XD The whole Floyd thing is now nothing compared to how this is a very different Harley from the one in Arkham. Hell, even Batman doesn't feel the same. This game just brings up so many questions in the first hour, then doesn't answer any of them. Example #1: Why does Harley have feelings for Ivy? In the Arkham games she was completely devoted to Joker, even in Arkham Knight after he passed away. Harley and Ivy have had relationships in other canons, but the Arkham trilogy never established one. Example #2: The game points out how Deadshot wasn't black until now, even going so far as to depict him in museum artwork, and yet they never explain "why" or "how" at any point. If anything they just seem to treat it like a recurring joke. Example #3: Why does batman randomly "un-fake" his death for the Justice League? The entirety of Arkham Knight and it's story really wouldn't allow for that. Example #4: Why in the heck doesn't shark just hoist Flash over his shoulder instead of trying to abandon him? Guy's built like a mountain and they'd all be runninf anyways, so why go out of their way to leave Wounded Flash behind? Sure Boomerang's got beef with him, but the others really don't. I could go on but I'd be here all day.

This was a fairly typical DC story. The narrative logic and power scaling made no sense, per usual, but I did enjoy a few things. Watching the Justice League die isn't something we get to see often, seeing Superman fight through the influence of kryptonite is always fun, and finally seeing Batman treated like a normal human being is great.

It's a shame WB doesn't get it because obviously a lot of work went into this. Not a big fan of the massive cynicism behind the concept or live service gaming but I hope for the best for all game devs in the coming 're-alignment' that the industry seems to be approaching. Hopefully artistic integrity and personal job security can both flourish in the future.
