Sorry not to offend any viewers, but sometimes I get fatigued when most genres, albeit movies and video games, mostly focus on apocalyptic events (natural disasters, zombies, etc.) solely on the East Coast, even though they might be set in a fictional universe, time, place, etc. I Am Legend (2007) - NEW YORK MIB Franchise - NEW YORK Avengers (2012) - NEW YORK Godzilla (1998) - NEW YORK (Even though many people hated that movie) 2012 (2009) - NEW YORK, and sure parts of the world. World War Z - Sure around the world you can argue, but they deleted out the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge being destroyed by the zombies from the trailer, never to be shown in theaters. (C'mon!) Resident Evil 3 - Even though it takes place in Raccoon City, there are some parts feel like NYC to me. Cloverfield movie - NEW YORK Planet of The Apes (1960s) - NEW YORK As Californian born and raised, I want to see fictional apocalyptic disasters be it zombies, aliens, etc. in its wake for my beloved state when it comes to showing it in video games and media. I mean yeah there's the Forbidden West game and among others that set it California. The only disaster we have is just drought though and it sucks.

It would have been much more interesting and had a higher replayability if each character had their own campaign instead of just playing the same campaign as different characters. Hearing the same dialogue over and over. Maybe that seems like it's too much work but that seems like a better way to create fans and loyal customers.

In Borderlands The Pre-Sequel important NPCs had unique dialogue parts for each of the six playable characters. Most dialogue was the same but the unique dialogue was significant enough to make replaying as every character interesting just for the way it fleshed out characters, relationships, and world-building. But that was in 2014 and Borderlands 3 didn’t bother to repeat the trick. I guess it must not be particularly profitable.

Riptide alluded also that the first outbreak happened shortly after WW2 in the Japanese chemical weapons bunker the Australian army was cleaning up before sealing it, I wonder if the chemical agents activate the autophage gene.
