Hey there thank you so much for the video! I have a 3 year old 95 pound tall lean German shepherd Husky mix. He’s very big and strong but lean and muscular. He eats whole hearted whole grain Kibble and I make him fresh brown rice to go with it. He always has lots of energy! He gets two long runs every day one in the morning and one in the evening. He gets lots of exercise and loves to hang out with me outside! I’m telling you all this so you can have as much information as possible. I wanted to start giving him Glucosamine supplements to help reduce the chances of joint and hip problems in his future what would you recommend? Thanks for the info, does help. I can see him in the photo with you, great looking dog. Remember, he's only three so not much is gonna affect him at this stage. My advice is to begin thinking about fresh foods like green tripe, meats, eggs, canned sardines: amzn.to/3vaXrj6 veg and organs. He'll need these foods down the line to keep joints strong and keep muscles fed properly. Kibble and brown rice is great for energy now but not deep health sustaining. I do have an ebook on 3 main diets, the first being the Healthier Kibble Diet which I think your dog will need going forward: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/ It's fresh food that relly supports joints, sure there's supplements but nothing beats fresh foods. And I recommend zero vaccines and vet drugs generally. I find GSD's to be sensitive dogs and so need fresh foods for balance.

It's around 36% protein, 25+% carbs and 16% fat which is ok. Slightly high on the carbs, slightly low on the proteins, correct on the fats. No synthetics. So it's pretty good but I still add raw eggs, canned sardines and a little meat protein as an extra just to bump up the proteins and lower the carbs. So take out 25% of the meals kibble and replace with the mentioned fresh foods. Much better! I'd do this with all kibble anyway, no matter how good it is, it's still dry food and needs some fresh food additions. And no vaxx or white foods (carbs).

The reason I came across you is because I was trying to find out what's best for dogs joint's. My akita is nearly 7 and his joints are beginning to make like a cracking noise. Only when he's going uphill that is. He is an active dog aswell. Vets said if he isn't bothered by it then he'll be fine but he is beginning to slow down but I'm not sure if that's because he's on a the verge of being a senior.

Yes I have and my response is, just use eggs! This product does not convince me, not having seen any good data on it. Raw eggs added to meals are an incedible nutrition addition. They are 100% assimilable protein sources and a complete food source. 1 eggs is probably the same cost as 1 scoop of the powder. Dogs needs some fresh food in their diet, a better option than this in my opinion.

If I were to add eggs and sardines to her diet should the eggs be hard boiled? When you talk about a raw diet does that include dogs with cancer? Ive read that because they are immune compromised that raw might not be the best option for those cases. Also if I were to feed a raw diet what would be the best option in regards to ground or whole? Ive read that ground meat has a greater chance of having salmonella. Hi Dan, my dog has super senstive stomach and we did a hell lot of blood tests but nothing came out. He is alright when just chilling all day but the moment we try to make him exercise he poops and keeps on pooping . Once or twice its but if we intend to make him exercise daily pooping all over would cause weakening. He is on kibble right now but we switched to fresh food and his stomach was worse. We tried to walk him very slow and small distances but as we gradually increase it the same problem starts ? Anything we can try?

Too much too soon. This is a 3 month transition, one little bit at a time. If blood work shows normal? Then it's chronic inflammation. Hi dan so my 10 year younge applehead chuhuauah has had siezures in the past but a few months ago he had a very strange one where his entire body just went limp he couldn't even put his tongue in his mouth and the limpness lasted for over an hour the next day he had non stop diarrhea and vomiting for about 3 days straight and he couldn't hold anything down I started giving him Ginger tea and boiled chicken and rice until we could get him to a vet where they started him on cerenia but he has to take it every single day now so that he has a good appetite and so he's not nauseous and his stomach doesn't turn all day they also give him an anti diuretic which he was taking for over a month but he doesn't take that anymore now I had blood work done x-rays fecal and took him to a free clinic to get an ultrasound because it was so expensive but they didnt have the tech there so they said they would do the best they could but said they didnt see any big obstructions they have no idea whats wrong with him i also gave him a dewormer when it first happened at the Vets request just to be safe in case it was some kind of parasite however he still has to take the cerenia which is for stomach upset for Gastro intestinal problems because even before all this he would have these horrible pains in his stomach where he would scream and Yelp out of nowhere until we'd have to rub his tummy for about 20 minutes or so until it went away so I think he's had stomach issues for a while but he is currently on a probiotic called proviable Forte he's taking Gabapentin for oral tooth pain he's taking cerenia for his stomach problems he's taking famotidine I believe to repair the stomach lining Omega tri v which is a fish oil supplement and Dasuquin Advanced joint health support for dogs I'm wondering if you can give me any tips on what to do to hopefully help this situation because I really don't want him taking all these meds for the rest of his life or if you can possibly recommend your personal favorite supplements and your favorite multivitamin or immune booster or any advice on what I could do for his diet I try to give him dehydrated food on a regular basis but sometimes I switch him to soft food when I can't afford the dehydrated food also if you could recommend a specific gentl Dental powder that you believe works the best I'd appreciate that as well thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you thank you for all the advice you give it helps so many people hope you have a blessed day😊

Wow, that's a mouthful to digest in one bloc of text! A lot of history I dont know but the goal would be a fresh food diet perhaps freeze dried raw is best, something like this: Bixby Rawbble Freeze Dried Raw chicken - amzn.to/3YH6GVD Bixby Rawble - Freeze Dried Lamb - amzn.to/3kDbUmX You would have to transition over very slowly so his gut gets used to knew foods.
