Oh yes. A new compo book is so special and pretty!!! I just started a new glue book and the theme is Happy Mail/ Happy Mail Ideas. I was so inspired by the Spot The Difference books I received in a happy mail, I ordered more.

I love a composition book for gluing, too. It’s so relaxing and freeing and the end result is awesome. I use my big glue stick for full size pages, too. ❤❤❤

I agree Cheryl! I love the way the book feels as it fills up. It's sooooo satisfying to finish one. I also feel less pressure to glue perfectly when I'm working in my composition notebook.

Nothing like starting a new project. I have been trying to reorganize my cut images. It was getting out of control but it might be a losing battle. All my bins are over flowing. It is time for an edit. So happy your fur baby is doing better

Thank you Liz!!! So in my crockpot I had what is called a Chicken Stroganoff....the chicken is cooked with an Italian seasoning packet (dry mix) and then I add other ingredients to it before adding egg noodles in the end. It is to die for!! It's my go to meal to make for anyone I want to bring a meal to. The smell is divine! I also roasted some broccoli and sauteed some mushrooms. Our cuban sandwiches were on french bread that we pressed on our grill. It had smoked pork shoulder (shredded), ham, cheese, bread & butter pickle slices and mustard. The pickle is a must, I almost didn't put some on mine but my son that usually takes pickles off said I had to have the pickle. It really makes the sandwich!

They are so expensive!!! More than a book! I get my magazines for free by asking friends and family, looking in facebook marketplace, my hair salon saves them for me, free catalogs (which you are already doing), and your local library should have some for free if you ask or they sometimes sell them for really cheap! I hope that helps!

I do wish I had your skill with the random book. I try but still end up doing a theme. So I went to Dollartree and got several colorful extra large food containers with lids. I divided all my fussies and other cuts by theme and added the book if it fit. Now I feel more organized and just pull out the container I want. That’s my sometimes OCD at work I guess!🙄

I told myself years ago, that random was my theme...I'm a matchy matchy person, so random took me some time to get used to. BUT I do still somewhat have a theme at times, I will choose colors & images that go well together...and somehow it works for me. Not always lol...some random pages are just too random, but at least I had fun trying and playing! I'm so glad you found a good way to organize your images so gluing can be more enjoyable.

You are not alone lol! One thing I do is I rotate my stash...I have baskets that I have images in ready to glue. But I also have a plastic container with more in them so I can dig more out if I need them. I too get bored with the same images. Sometimes I will harvest a bit of magazine before I glue so the new images help kick start my creativity. I hope that helps!

Thank you Lisa! Sherman is doing so much better with each passing day. A cuban sandwich is made...well this is how we made it.. on French Bread, with smoked pull pork, ham, cheese, bread and butter pickles and mustard. It is then pressed flat on a griddle. They are very tasty!

YES!!! Andrew my oldest, usually takes pickles off of burgers and sandwiches, but he said I had to try it it with the pickle because it made the sandwich so much better. He was right, it was really good!

I have only tried one comp book so far and I can’t figure out how you cut the excess of the magazine pages off so perfectly. I have a really hard time and it looks like Edward Scirrorhands made my book. 😊

I think I'm just naturally good at cutting straight? I do go slow, and make sure my scissors are butted up to the page and not on the page. Sometimes I use my xacto knife and cutting mat to cut the sides.

Thank you! When Im looking through a magazine I look for pages that have minimal to no writing on them, and those are what I choose for my backgrounds. Nature/Florals and Food are good backgrounds because they tend to be very colorful.
