9th for Glutonny after not playing in a US major for over a year and a half is not bad tbh. But Dabuz though! he did so good, people has to stop sleeping on him

Glutonny needs to use his waft more. He had games where he would've had been able to use two but he didn't even pull the trigger once. I get it, you want a perfect setup, but a lot of wasted full wafts in this set, such a shame.
@victorded4275

I'm totally agree with this, against Chag he could use even up to 3 wafts in some matches
@fupalover
@fupalover 3 жыл бұрын
Yesterday and today he's missed alot of wafts surprisingly. That combine with him being behind makes him more cautious.

It's kind of sad that a lot of the european top players don't go overseas, Gluto is the only one (and the best as of now). But I think within (the part) of europe where Smash is actually well known and played (France, Germany, UK, Scandinavia, Netherlands etc.) we have at least 4 or 5 players that are able to beat Glutonny, but even inside europe they don't go to any big tournament. I believe that if Europe can manage to get all regions within it activated (which is like 10 or 15 countries missing), we actually could end up with an playerbase that is at least as big as in the US resulting in more top players. Then the only hurdle would be to organize big ass tournaments. I could see tournaments with over 1000 entrants effortlessly if we work on our infrastructure regarding smash..... The European community is working on that but it's not that easy to do. For that matter alone I wish another game coming out. Or what do you guys think, how long will Ultimates lifespan last?

Sad for Gluttony but also a good reminder of the US level for the french scene who was getting really cocky recently especially on Twitter when Gluto beat ESAM, they all went trashtalking on him even saying that their locals players were more of a threat for Gluto lol. (And i'm french)
@romain4178
@romain4178 3 жыл бұрын
Actually trashtalking is never done with bad intentions lol, the whole concept is for esam to shut their mouths down when he will show a better performance or whenever he will get the opportunity to slap Ogey's ass Maybe the US don't have that trashtalking spirit but don't fool ppl into thinking they ever were serious or said these things with bad intentions

Why is people acting top 10 placement in a super major is a bad thing? Glutonny was seeded 7 is not really that low.

I’m giving gluto some benefit of the doubt here. The guy is good, but he stayed in his comfort zone way too much, and it showed. Most of these players have had a healthy season gaining some exp on each other as well, and several have overcome the choking up at some point, even Tweek, even Leo. The adaptations he brings to the next event will give everyone a much better picture, and I’m excited for it.

He didn't choose to stay in his comfort zone unfortunately, but the fact that he could not travel for 1 year beacause of the pandemic really stopped his improvement momentum
@estabravo
@estabravo 2 жыл бұрын
@@isabellecessieuxperroy9222 I agree, though he was verrry conservative with waft, and as an expert at handling Wario's disadvantage state, it seems like he passed up on even half waft opportunities which would have been less risky. I do get that he probably didn’t want to take many risks with full waft while being behind on top level practice.

I told yall Gluto might not be top 10 anymore. SO MUCH has changed since he last competed against Top competition. Not a shot at his skill. I'm sure if he gets more practice at top level he's top 5 for sure. But he has a long way to catch up to the current meta.
