Glycolysis Pathway | Enzymes, Regulation and Products

Lesson on the Glycolysis pathway.
In this video, I explain the glycolysis pathway (pathway involved in breakdown of glucose) starting with glucose uptake into the cell, glucose entrapment via hexokinase/glucokinase, examining the energy consuming steps and finally the energy producing steps of the glycolysis pathway ending in pyruvate, NADH and ATP production.
I also explain the difference between hexokinase and glucokinase, the regulated irreversible steps of glycolysis along with what regulates the glycolysis pathway and easy ways to remember the irreversible steps and where ATP is produced in the pathway.

For the second enzyme, i believe it is incorrect. Phosphoglucomutase actually moves the phosphate group from the 1'carbon to the 6'carbon. the correct enzyme would be g6p-isomerase which converts glucose to fructose by the rearrangement of the carbons. EC5.4.2.2 vs EC5.3.1.9

Well done on the career choice, I've worked in the medical device industry for the last 12 years or so. Most of that time has been spent in to ortho specialities such as cmf, trauma, spinal and arthroplasty. around 11:00 in, where does the second phosphate group come from to turn Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate into 1-3-bisphosphoglycerate? I only see NAD+ coming in but no phosphate doner.
