After my mom died 24 Feb 2023 my father used to sing this song a lot. He even wrote down all the lyrics from listing and pausing the song. He oneday recored himself singing it and send the voicenote to almost everyone in our family. He passed 30 Sept 2023, 7 months after my mom. Only after he passed I learned that he used to sing it a lot to my mom when they were younger. This will be my wedding song for sure oneday ❤

Took me over 30 to finally marry the one girl I could never forget. This song was 2 years before her and I met but when she would be down on herself, this song would make me think of what I wanted to say to her to bring her back up. We went our own ways (I was military and was transferred, she went off the college, I was 19, she was 17). But though we both had gotten married, life events made it possible to do what we should have done 30+ years before. We been marred now for going on 15 years. It's never too late to come to terms what should have been. As long as no other hearts are involved. ;-)
