When I saw her name shows up, I scream. SAG notices her, finally Oscar, the academy, saw her. Her performance i. This movie is effortless. Some of the nominees in this category did “try very hard”, sometimes it just feel that they are maybe pushing too hard. But not Stephanie Hsu, her performance in EEATO is so genuine. Not to mention that audition tape, i got goosebumps every time I saw it. She really deserves to win.

Hollywood and the Academy feels like this old, jaded, gated community that's out of touch and pretentious and so it's really refreshing to see new faces like Stephanie being recognized, especially for her first major role. I'm pretty sure she's not winning, but just to be nominated among some great talents is a win in itself.
