GMADE GS-02F BOM Review

If you followed the livestreams you know I've recently build a #gmade GS-02F #BOM to add to the fleet. In this video I go over my thoughts on the truck, the build process and the performance in a slightly new and more organised format. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for this long-anticipated review. I think I’ll be sorting my hardware into labeled bins like I did my Gatekeeper Kit, if the truck ever comes off backorder, that is.

Wise move. I eventually ordered the packets into a takeaway container which sped things up quite a lot. Mine was back ordered too, worth the wait though I think. 🤙

@@PhilBrindley I think so too. I love the visual, the fact that it’s a less common model, and the unusual features like rear cantilevers. Waiting for it gives me more time to plan the build and spend extra money on it! 😂

Thanks Geoff. Took it out for another run today and I still like it. Need to sort the gearing out though, motor is too fast for it still. It’s bonkers in second gear 😂

1904 tyres are really good, I run my fronts backwards. Got me up and down Helvellyn last summer.

Totally agree, but the BOM does a decent job for a bit of all terrain fun.

Hi m8 how things as u no iv got 2 grades n I think there far better than axle n traxxas n with all kits u have to get electrics as for the the 2 speed it’s far far better than the scx10.3 my buffalo n komodo came with bead locks plastic but good the tyrs r rearly good the komodo suspension sits harf way so u got good up travel n down travel m8 upgrade the shock oil will help a lot m8 I’d def by gmade over axle n traxxas m8

The springs on the BOM are too hard. I’ll be switched to the soft ones then I can try som different oil. Bought the aluminium shock caps too as they were so cheap. Job for the Easter hols. 😁

Great review. Absolutely love my Gs02f bom the best upgrade I did was softer springs and add the optional sway bar in the rear makes the canter leaver suspension so much better, but as you mentioned the diff Gears really let it down I'm lucky to get a full battery out of it without it starting to let go. Ended up on a shelf and using my Ecto and trx4 more and more now.

Have you replaced the diff gears at all, I’d be concerned if it burns through them at that rate. Hope they do something about it as it’s starting to sound like a real weak point, but one that didn’t seem to be present in the older versions. Thanks for watching. 🤙

@@PhilBrindley yeah I have replaced 3 sets now. Gmade sent me another 3 sets for free and have said they plan to make a HD set but that was 3 months ago so who knows if or when they will. I've changed all bearings and axle housing just to see if it was something off but still eventually chews the teeth off the diffs. Shame really as I do like the rest of the truck.

@@FuddyMucker man that sucks. Fingers crossed they sort those HD gears then. Meanwhile I’ll be taking things a bit easier with it from now on (might just lock it in 1st as well, in case that’s the reason).

@@PhilBrindley I wouldn't be any softer on it 👍 I'm sure it's not all of them as many have and many more haven't had any issues so I'm just unlikely I guess.
