I have a few hundred filters over the years, but can't figure out how to "search" them. I had some emails from a specific sender being filtered to trash but I wanted to delete that filers. I literally scrolled through all my filters to find that specific one. There has to be a way to search my filters and I'm probably going to feel really dumb when I find out how. Do you have any ideas???

Can you apply multilple filters, as in multiple key words to be searched in the emails or subjects? If so, how can you do it?

Yes you can. Depending on your needs you can set up separate filters for different keywords to do different actions on each keyword. If you want to search for multiple keywords in the one filter you can use the OR operator syntax. It has 2 ways of doing it. You can either do it like this "from:amy OR from:david" or like this "{from:amy from:david}". Both work. I prefer the { } version as its much shorter. I have some really long filters for certain email addresses and this allows you to fit more in with their character limit which is 1500 I believe from memory.

PLEASE HELP. Is there any possible way to either request the presence of a "To" column when searching for a particular subject? There is nothing in Gmail Help I can find explaining this. Let me explain with an example: I am searching the SENT folder for emails containing the word "invoice" in the subject, and I want the result to show all the emails sent to various people; the result reveals the filtered results, along with the date sent BUT there is no column showing TO WHOM the message was sent. I see I can specify ONE SPECIFIC person, but I want them all and I want to see that info without having to open each email to see who it was sent to. I need the results to SHOW the recipients in a column, just as it does the date and subject. How do I add a To: column OR otherwise provide a To "wildcard" that will reveal each recipient? Is this impossible? I see that columns are present in the Inbox and UNfiltered Sent area, but hidden in filtered results. Thank you for the helpful video.

Gmail emails are sorted into threads of conversations. The default view of Gmail does show WHO is in that thread - its the column next to the checkbox, before the subject. If you search for "in:sent invoice" you'll see this. There is no specific TO column but this name column is enough. If you want to get more specific you can search for "in:sent invoice TO:someone@testemail.com" to find emails TO that specific person. Does that help?

Thank you very much - this does help; I see that BEFORE I hit enter to carry out the filtered search (for "in:sent invoice" , for example) I need to either take a screen capture or grab a pencil and paper to make my own list everyone I sent "invoice" information. That is a shame. I wish there was a wildcard, like "To: *", to force the creation of a To: column in the filtered results. In a sense, we know the main Sent folder has an assumed wild card for ... everything, and all the columns you could ever want. Of course, a little too broad that, which is the purpose of having filters of course. Although I am a fan of GMail, it is lacking there as well as simply sorting by column heading.

Thanks for your reply. Glad you worked it out. Essentially once you get use to it, you'll find you can navigate your way around it quite well. Its just getting better at using the search capabilities to zero in on what you are looking for.
