I remember reading this in a book, not a school textbook, it is a world history book, it mentions what happened during WW1 when the Russian Empire falls, and a lot of russians fled their country. I also remember reading that Manuel L. Quezon allowed the Jews from Europe to enter The Philippines to escape the evil Nazis, and their psychopatic leader, the refugees first entered back in 1937.

The Vietnamese are very generous and thoughtful. The mother of a friend who was a teacher in the refugee camp in Palawan in the 80's during the time of the boat people, was never forgotten by her elementary students. She taught them English. These young Vietnamese kids were distributed around the world and became very succesful now. This teacher was rewarded by her former students with an all expense trip to Malaysia and given a substantial reward.

There were some Indian nationals, Persian, and Jews in the group too. The first refugees were the Jewish refugees from Europe at the start of the 2nd WW in Europe. The last refugees were the Vietnamese in the 70's who stayed in Palawan.

May instructions sa bible kung pano tayo dapat manalangin, at kung ano ang pwedeng ipanalangin, at kung anong klaseng budhi ang meron tayo bago manalangin. You just have to find it.
