When I had my daughter in 2022, I had 3rd degree tearing and needed stitches. I had to wait for over 10 hours before I was taken into surgery because other women needed emergency c-sections first. I hadn't eaten for over 30 hours either, I had had a catheter put in and was numb from the waist down. And I found it quite traumatic. I feel for other women who have had it even worse.

My experience when I had my son by cesarean was awful, for multiple reasons. Aftercare was non existent. Just left to your own devices, I wasn't able to lift my son, I ended up blacking out, only then did they intervene

In 2023, an estimated 6.3 million children under five died, 2.9 million of them in the WHO African Region. This is equivalent to five children under 5 years of age dying every minute. Two thirds of these deaths can be attributed to preventable causes. A third of all these deaths are in the neonatal period. 0:19

This is one of the many reasons why I don’t have kids and choose not to have them.

It is just as bad here in America the Healthcare System I delivered my first child in 99 my second in 2000 and had issues my last I delivered in 2013 and me and him both almost died it was a full-term C-section he was 10 lbs even it took 10 and a half months and three different surgeries for my c-section incision to heal my baby started physical therapy at 3 months occupational therapy at 6 months and speech therapy at a year and a half he had to wear helmets feet and ankle braces it was very dramatic and because of the birth and how they did my c-section I had to have a hysterectomy and I can't have any more children because of how they treated me and the lawyers that I talked to told me I couldn't Sue because I hadn't been medically released yet and they wouldn't do it because the baby is 10 now and I still have issues with my c-section scars

Didn't Theo have any family support throughout the birth and afterwards? I have known people supported, if not by partners, by their mums, sisters, aunties for instance.
