Jean and Jono seem lovely. Jean did more for society than many people have.

Jean is obviously a great mother but it can’t have always been easy. I don’t know why she felt uncomfortable talking about the difficulties of fostering but denying them is not going to encourage people to foster. Parenting a child with trauma or disabilities, especially as a single parent, is very daunting. We thought about it long and hard and we didn’t feel like we could do it.

The older generation have a stiff upper lip and rarely complain as much as us. They have the " just get on with it" type of attitude.

@@alileevil but how did she get on with it? How was she even able to afford basic necessities for so many children? If you are going to go on a show to encourage people to foster, you need to talk about these things instead of pretending it was not hard at all and saying you can’t understand why people don’t foster. Acknowledging difficulties is not complaining and denial never helped anyone.
