Let’s look at this logically and compassionately: We have the life of one man in a position of power, and the lives of thousands in a position of little to no power. Thompson’s decisions affected thousands of lives sometimes terminally. Mangione made a big gamble: By terminating the man whose decisions probably ended up killing hundreds if not more, this would expose the issue even further and drive change in the system. We’ll see what happens I suppose. One thing is for sure - when the powerful push the people to their limit, the people always end up resorting to violence. It’s in our history over and over again - it’s in our DNA.
