I recently purchased clips and my initial fear was being able to clip out which was the easiest part followed by clipping in which was a little harder than I expected but finding the right cleat position was the hardest and most tedious. The new CB alignment tool works great!!!

There are reasons to put that cleat further forward or back. So while that might be a good Starting point it's not a hard & fast rule that it will be lined exactly with that part of your foot in the end.

Correct! It's all down to personal preference/fit 🤙

Medium strength threadlock is preferable to grease in my opinion.

Never going to cleats, I don't need them. Regardless, that was the Best "how-to" set them up I've seen, great job on explaining it.

Do pedals usually come with the cleats and spacers or are they brought separately?, Thanks

I had spds since 95 if I remember correctly, recently I tried the crankbruh system and it makes most of my shoes creak, so I got a new pair of shoes. Still the same. Is that a common issue with crankbros or I'm just unlucky?
@gmbn6 ай бұрын
"Crankbruh" is amazing 😂 We haven't experienced that before, there are a few different points that could be causing the creak and because they're all connected to your shoe it may seem like it's the shoe. Start with the locking mechanism on the pedal and work up from there! Make sure your cleat is secured and try applying some grease to the bolts and see if that makes a difference 🤙

I have mallet e shoes and I'm wondering if mallet shoes do also have stiff sole ?
@mattkavanaugh56236 ай бұрын
With Crankbrothers cleats I think the direction of the cleat changes the float? If the R or L is towards the heel of the shoe different float than if it's facing the toe? Or maybe it's using the R cleat on the left shoe vs the right shoe changes the float?
@AnnaOnTheBike6 ай бұрын
Their designs used to be that way, but now you buy cleats with a choice of release angles and a choice of float instead of just rotating them, as I believe this gives people more options. 👍

You can grab a couple of balls from an old bearing and tape them to the sides of your foot for a more accurate reference. Sometimes thick shoes make it hard to feel the bones by touch

All the pros have the cleats all the to the back. Having them forwards reduces the amount of power you can put down
@bagballz6 ай бұрын
This is actually completely wrong, look at xc and road bike races (people who spend a lot of time worrying about power) and you'll find not a single one with their cleats slammed back. If this is how they were intended to be used shoe designers would make shoes with the slots further back

I’ll never understand why content creators tell (not ask but tell) people to like, subscribe, comment, share, etc at the very beginning of the video before people have even watched anything that the video entails.

We find more people remember to do it when we ask at the start than when we ask at the end. 🙃

Clip pedals 🤦🏼 Seriously people need to wake up. That's like people who say they are vegetarian and eat meat every meals the logic of calling clips clipless 🤦🏼 99.9% of people say clipless 😭
@AnnaOnTheBike6 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's frustrating, but it's because the first set of shoes with cleated pedals meant cyclists no longer had to wear toes clips... they were therefore clip-less. I guess it stuck!
