Thanks for the video, I smashed all the plastic off and still wouldn’t open , it was the metal clasp at the bottom that I had to beat around clockwise,out of the way of the lock clip and it opened , lots of blood and swearing but it worked much appreciated!

Nice and useful video,I have a 2005 envoy,replaced the tailgate on it from 2006 envoy but no power at all the tail gate,any idea what the reason could be?
