It went fine (slow going). No broken tabs just some nicks and bruises to them from the prying tools.

The new emblems came out a few months ago with new part numbers they are updated and fixed so they will not go out like the first ones did I had mine on backorder for almost 2 years before they finally came out.

Add some Dielectric Grease to the plugs in order to keep the moisture out to keep the Emblem from shorting out/failing.

It is an iphone thing. It makes the emblem look brighter than actual. It is the same brightness as the one I had from 2021.

Hello Don, big fan of your work coming from Georgia USA. I have a 2024 GMC Sierra Denali. My vehicle came with the Red illuminated emblem. To get the black illuminated emblem would it be as simple as removing from the front of the grill or would I need to go through the engine bay as you did in this video. Thanks for your time.

Reaching the tabs is the hardest part. Removing the air diverter above the radiator can be helpful. I don’t have experience with your grill to comment on access from the front

I’ve seen others run it to the passenger side light, guessing it doesn’t matter really? Also, does it light up when the head lights are off and just the running Halo style lights are on?

You can run to either side and they come on with the Daytime Running Lights

Just installed mine - it will not sit flush behind the "M" -- G is flush, C is flush, M is off the backing plate about 1/16 Wanted to take it off to see what is going on - - and that is not going to happen without me breaking something Little help?

You ‘can’ get at the retaining tabs from behind the radiator shutters. If you are careful, you can remove a couple slats and make some room for your hands to get a screw driver or pry tool from behind. Not easy, but possible. Warmer working conditions help too. Cold plastic is more brittle

Okay - found the issue. The "backbone" of the shutters has three mounting screws in "Y" fashion and the tip protrudes 1/16 inch. This was not an issue on the individual letters as they were hollow on the backside. The LED logo is flat and they were pushing on the backside. Took the top two out - like playing the game "Operation" - put a 1/8 rubber washer on and re-installed. No protrusion. No way possible to get the bottom one out so used a plastic pry bar (for interior work) to pry the bottom of the "M" out far enough - used a hacksaw blade and by hand went SLOW and EASY and cut the tip off. Now the logo sits flush - and no mishaps. Not a single scratch - Thank you God!
