GM Igor, tomorrow September 5th is celebrated as Teachers Day in India in memory of one of our former Presidents Dr.S.Radhakrishnan who was a teacher himself before becoming President The hallmarks of a great teacher are breadth and depth of knowledge, ability to make students think and of course endless patience. At my level (1000-1100) pawn to h3 often ends up with capturing the knight on f3 and recapturing the bishop w the g pawn or the queen. Rarely does the bishop retreat. I'm curious to see the theory after that exchange

All chess KZbinrs keep repeating that "giuoco piano" means "quite game", but while that's one possible meaning of "piano", it is clearly not the one meant here, since "piano" in that sense would be an adverb, thus would not work with "giuoco" being a noun. Instead, "giuoco piano" clearly means "plain game".

In the games I play online (1100 ELO) 70-80% of the time, the bishop pinning the knight (queen on the back line), when a pawn is pushed at it on h3, they just take the knight. I retake with the queen. Most players I play just trade trade trade, very boring.

Knight f3 first move or after the double king pawn If he starts with Nf3 (reti opening) Plays D5 and make a queen opening setup the opening can also transpose into a queens gambit or others if you mean if he plays Knight f3 after the double e pawn so the opening is a vienna and you should play Nc6 and he wil must play pawn c4 and you should play d5 to learn the whole theory i guess there is some vídeos about these openings in this channel

I don't know if it's just me, but 99.9% of the time blacks bishop either returns to original position or just takes the knight. Any suggestions?
@kunalmishra94632 жыл бұрын
Them exchanging the bishop for the knight is itself a minor mistake that should allow you to apply more pressure. Blowing up the center and opening up the position to take advantage of the bishop pair, and then getting better at using a bishop pair itself is probably the right way to improve in those scenarios.
