No me extrañaría que las cuerdas del shamisen hayan salido volando por los aires, se nota el tremendo "raspón" que le dieron al instrumento durante tremenda ejecución !!!!
Grumps giving another shoutout to this vid, hell yeah!!!

The guy just absolutely shredding on that shamisen is like the wildest thing I've ever seen. He's setting the whole place on fire and at the same time just has a look of absolute confidence. Not smug or cocky, just pure confidence. That man is just at peace with the concept of music itself. Yeah he only gets like 40 seconds but that's all he needs and he damn well knows it.
Reminds me of when I was a blonde robotic ninja, crab walking on my knees slashing soldiers with double kunai back in 1983. It's a very specific memory

I use to juide an arcade if they had a Sinistar machine but Ninja Warriors is my new one.

Mr. Katsunari Sawada who came out at the time of the shamisen part. This is said to be a genius in the shamisen world since I was, one who now has reigned in vertices. Is responsible for the shamisen in Samurai Warriors series and Toukiden: The Age of Demons series.

Was awesome growing up through this. Too bad I had no idea there were actual game music festivals....I was led to believe that I was crazy for loving game music so much....
Damn. And here we all are 33 years later. I was just 20 years old when this game was released and I was awestruck on how big the cabinet was.
@goodhumourwagon10 ай бұрын
It was a sight to behold. I was 11 when this came out and I just remember how loud and rich the sound was on that cabinet. I remember it being some of the first few games that cost 50 cents per play. Which was seemingly expensive when i might only have a dollar or two on me. 😀 wasn't that screen high resolution or something?

Interesting how Japan already embraced something like video game music festivals way back in 1990 while it took till the 2000s to get something like that in North America.

Don't forget Sony was the first to create the Walkman. The Nintendo disk system already integreated a seperate sound system in its disk system that gave rise to Legend of Zelda and the Castlevania series.

Japan has always been ahead of the time on many points. Take 3 domains USA pionneered : hi-fi systems and audio visual at home, synthesizers and video games. Japan created most of the things in those 3 domains, became the real innovators and masters of it. In those 3 domains, they have been 10 years or more ahead of everyone for 30 years or so.
