From an American point of view, he does have an accent. However, even in America, there are multiple accents of native English speakers. His English is clear, and I understood every word. I think he did a good job with the song. His talent is unquestionable.

I offered an opinion in support of Khun Joong, at least that was my intent. I do not believe that his accent, as mentioned in prior posts, detracts from his talent. This was the only point I am making. Khung Joong is a talented actor and singer. It is an opinion from an individual, not meant to be interpreted as an authoritative source for language and communication. With respect to your inquiry about my training, I have 4 conferred college degrees (2 bachelors and 2 masters), none of which is in language. I don't understand the context of why that's important in either what I said or my picture. I work as an FNP both for employment and as a volunteer, helping the uninsured and disabled who are unable to come to a regular clinic setting. I spend more than 10-16 hours a day in scrubs because of this. I speak two languages and I am an expert in none. I speak English and French, and I have recently just started learning Thai. If you feel that I have offended Khun Joong in any way with either my comments or my picture, then I apologize. If this explanation doesn't satisfy your inquiry, then I am sorry, but I don't know how to help you.

Joong's vocal tone and timbre are amazing, as well as his breath control and dynamic control. And singing a complete song in English not being a native English speaker, he does amazing in getting the feelings of the lyrics across. He really does Troye Sivan justice in this rendition of the song. I would include him up there in the pantheon of great up and coming Thai singers like NuNew, Zee Pruk, Billkin, Jeff Satur. These singers are all gems that should have more international acclaim than they do. I hope to hear more vocal performances from Joong Archen in the future. And focus on the ballads like this, not songs that overdo the falsetto, overdubbing, or auto-tune, but letting the natural lower vocal tones shine through as they do in this song.

I am puzzled when or where did Joong assert, or anyone expect, this love ballad to be done without any accent enhancing the theme of the ballad? The affect Joong communicates is so differentiated, you experience his pain and longing and his wish to communicate those tender feelings. Joong's drive for perfection leaves him vulnerable to criticism, yielding depression, with his own hypercritically. Given the ubiquity of praise, J is dependant on the symbiosis with Dao, his is quite fragile: carping about the notion of false accent is sadistic.

He did amazingly 🥰 His accent isn't even that bad. He enunciated well, and yes, there were times where he had a harder time with vowel sounds after a consonant, but really, English is like the only language with the hard, back of the throat, Rrrr, sound, then add in another consonant immediately after can make for tricky sounds. There are sounds in Thai that if a native English speaker tried to get and ended up fudging would probably have us saying boot instead of game or something. He did fantastically and made the song his own. Certainly better than I can sing🥰

Qué bonito como alaban a Joong😭aún recuerdo la era luego de 2moons2 y como lo tenían olvidado😭no tenía tantos seguidores en IG y se la pasaba haciendo lives también con Nine, y se ponían a cantar por diversión, luego se convirtió en su sueño, Nine lo cumplió en China con INTO1 y Joong prometió encontrarse con él pero por la problemática de los programas allá, se canceló su participación en China a pesar que se había preparado hasta aprendiendo chino😭ya había sacado también canción con los trainees de Insight, y pues luego dio la noticia de estar en GMM y ahora es feliz allí, estoy muy feliz por él y por cómo crece su popularidad, además puede seguir cantando y bailando que es lo que le gusta, te quiero mucho Archen ♥️
